From old, undated notes. Drank on draft.
Dark brown color.
Small off-white; no lacing.
Nose of slight hops, slight roasted coffee.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
All the flavor of a brown ale; easily drinkable. Someone said it's like a Moose Drool; do I need to revisit that? Tons of flavor, but a session vibe. A winner.

Pours brilliant medium brown with a 1" cream to light tan colored foam collar that persists and provides sheets of lace. Roast, a little chocolate, light caramel on the nose and palate with just the right amount of hop on the end to balance the light malt sweetness.

Draft at Churchkey in D.C.
The beer is dark brown with a thin beige collar. The aroma is fabulous. Vanilla, chocolate, malt, bread, a touch of booze. The taste is so smooth and easy going, it's hard to believe the aroma can be so powerful. Gene and I both marveled over the bold and assertive quality of the beer despite it's low abv. The power of an imperial brown ale or barleywine with session-like drinkability. Great stuff.
