Had on tap at Whole Foods while "Rare Stout Night" was happening at Goose.

Smelled of bourbon and cherry. Didn't smell overwhelmingly like alcohol.

First taste was of cherries, followed by chocolate notes.

Very smooth feel and not intense alcohol like BCS '10 on tap.

This was by far the best beer I had all week, but I am a huge cherry lover. The combination of the cherries, chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon was enough to leave my girlfriend at Goose Island for....and I'd do it again!

In review is a 2012 vintage.

A - Pours dark black with a thick frothy toffee head.

S - Chocolate, slight spice, and cherry extract.

T - Chocolate, cherry extract, and oak.

M - Thick, rich, and full.

O - The cherry comes across as a sugary extract which IMO kills this beer. Wasn't worth trading for and terribly overrated just because it sports a Bourbon County label.
