32 oz. growler poured into a flute.

Appearance - Pours a clear golden orange. No head. Thin collar.

Smell - A bucket of grapefruit and some white wine notes. Not much else comes through.

Taste - Even more grapefruit. I suppose it's more subtle than the nose, but still a dominant flavor. A bit of grain and yeast. The barrel is lost though.

Mouthfeel - Clean beer. Low alcohol. Easy to drink.

Overall - I can't remember what Sophie tasted like, but if this is an augmentation of it's flavors, it must have tasted like nothing.

06/05/13 At Rattle N Hum, NYC, on tap. Grapefruit? Really? First impression tends in another direction. Lack of astringency for one. Taste is nice & refreshing & since I think grapefruit is way far away from the usual 'citrus' profile, I have to say this was a pleasant surprise. If it's hot outside, give this a try...you have a friend. Ilinois??...really?
