On tap at Clybourn location.

A: amber color, slight haze, some head but not a lot
S: traditional Belgian golden ale with strong fruity qualities (a bit too fruity) and some yeast
T: medium bodied, strong peach flavor, a bit dominating and not well-balanced, could tone down fruitiness
M: slightly cloying
O: overall, ok, but could be toned down a bit with fruitiness and bring in a bit more spicy yeast

On-tap at GI Clybourn. 12 oz. in a Belgian tulip on July 1st, 2012.

A - Pours a straw yellow golden coloring. 1.5 fingers of an off-white head with marginal retention and soapy lacing.

S - Quite earthy. Dry hay, peaches, plentiful alternate light citrus, and a bit herbal.

D - Much bigger malt presence than I found in the aroma. The fruit and saison-like characters take a backseat to a clean, bready quality. I guess that's fine, but it's a bit boring.

M - Semi-dry finish. Light-medium body. Appropriate carbonation.

D I like the nose, but the taste just doesn't carry enough of the peaches through and needed a little bit of acid or sweetness to offset the malt.

On-tap at Goose Island Clybourn. Served in a 12oz tulip.

A - White foam settles to a solid cap, with a lonely splotch of lace remaining. Hazed golden body.

S - Hefty amounts of citrus - not sure if this is from hops or some sort of adjunct. Fruity esters reveal the Belgian yeast, and there's some floral notes as well, all over top of a honey-dipped bread malt backbone.

T - Lemon, peach, and a hint of tangerine zest. More yeast presence here, with a slightly tangy sourdough finish that lingers into the aftertaste. Not as good as the aroma unfortunately.

M - Active carbonation, slightly grainy medium body, and a dry finish. Minimal alcohol presence, as is expected from the style.

D - A thoroughly enjoyable and easy-drinking Belgian. Reminds me of thetomG's P.G.A.T.T. a bit with the mix of Belgian yeast and intense citrus flavors. Would gladly drink this again, and kind of wish it was available for growler fills.

Served in a tulip glass at the Clybourn brewpub.

Though Flo was out, a similarly-named beer was there to take her place. Right on. It pours a clear apple juice topped by a half-finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises peachfuzz, mandarin orange, light coriander, and light sourdough. The taste brings in more of the same, with more peach (both flesh and skin) and a touch of tangelo zest. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda dry finish. Overall, a nice little beer, one that really brings some nice peachiness to the table, but nothing really all that outstanding in the end.

Received in a 12 oz. tulip. 5.5% ABV.

3.5 A: Very lightly hazed dark yellow color. Came with a small white head.

4.5 S: Big tangerine and peach fruitiness. Grapefruit underneath. Moderate amounts of neutral malt sweetness. Peppery spiciness along with some other harder to identify spice species.

4.5 T: Tastes like the nose. Peach, tangerine, and light grapefruit. Super clean neutral maltiness with lots of spiciness with pepper leading the charge.

4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a light spritziness.

4.5 D: Really tasty without any major flaws. Probably one of my favorite GI brews that aren't Bourbon County or King Henry.
