10 oz pour served in a snifter

A: Burnt orange, a bit hazy but settles to a fairly clear orange. A bit of white foam head that dissipated quickly.

S: Caramel, sweet, maple, oak barrel. A hint of wine notes, maybe a riesling.

T: A bit sweet, some caramel or maple soaked oak characteristics. molasses notes. A slight bourbon tinge. Also has nice wine characteristics with the oak, a bit of tannin.

M: Nice and creamy. Smooth.

O: I'm not very familiar with this style but is was very good. It has really nice wine characteristics balanced with nice toffee and caramel malt notes. A nice cloyingly mix of sweet and tart. Definitely recommend, there's a reason this won an award.

Stopped in to grab 2 BCBS snifters and decided after a long day of work I'd belly up to the bar for a pour of this. 10 oz. served in a snifter.

A: Gorgeous hazy burnt orange color. No lacing whatsoever. Looked like an IPA based on the pour.
S: Downright awesome. Bourbon, oak, chocolate, a hint of maple syrup. I could have just sat and smelled it.
T: I haven't had a lot of wheatwine's before but this was outstanding. It won gold in the Barleywine category at FoBAB '12 and I can't see a reason not to put it at the top. Tasted a lot of bourbon, molasses, oak and a little dark fruit/chocolate.
M: Creamy and decadent
O: This was just a huge plus of picking up the snifters. If this doesn't blow today, I may go back for another pour tonight. Awesome beer. Jared's barrel-aged beers are really really damn good.
