On tap at Max's (from notes)

A: Clear blonde. Ok lacing.

S: Farmhouse and yeasty.

T: Slightly peppery. Very light. Foamish. Like a farmy saison. I can sense the belgian pale here. Definitely belgian. Lots of farmhouse and yeast.

M: Foamy and lots of bubbles.

O: Interesting, but I have yet to have regular Matilda.

On tap at The Daily Pint in Santa Monica, CA.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus, floral, funk, and Brett aromas. Taste is much the same with fruit, floral, and Brett flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of Brett bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice Brett presence, especially in the taste.

Pours a hazy, medium brown in color. Very similar to Matilda, except a little darker. Scent is slightly tart, and very wheat/yeasty on the nose. Taste is similar; starts out mild and grainy in flavor, like the regular Matilda, then moves towards a more tart flavor. The lambicus gives it a slightly sour taste profile, but it's very, very mild and drinkable.

Overall, a good, mild tart beer that lends itself to being incredibly drinkable.
