Right around the corner from the Home Beer Wine Cheesemaking Shop sits this giant gem of spirits and wine with a small well selected stock of beer (about 3-4 coolers worth).

The place is very clean and bright and well lit with a knowlegable friendly staff that can really help you out with the massive amount of wine in the store. Never needed any help with the beer selection, so I don't know how they are there.

Beers available run the gamut from Heineken (no domestic BMC) to Hopf, Paulaner, and the big secret... Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. WHWC seems to have an endless stockpile of Bigfoot so that at any time of the year, you can get your jones.

Overall not a bad spot and it's certainly the place to go in Woodland Hills for wine, but if you're looking for a more adventurous beer selection, you should check out the Green Jug, a mile away.

Amazing place to buy wine and they have a great liquor selection. Beer selection is just bad. The guys there were very nice and helpful though. The place has really an astounding wine selection but the beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. They do have some good stuff if you're in a bind though. I asked if they would ever hold beer tastings and they said they were thinking about it so who knows.

First and foremost, this is my favorite wine store in the Los Angeles area. The owners are friends and I love, love, love the store for wine. Again, for wine!

The beer selection is simply bad. Candidly, I don't know why they even carry beer. It's a first class world class wine store with a huge selection of wine. IT'S AN AWFUL BEER STORE...

I hate slamming my friends; but, it is what it is. They should stop stocking beer altogether; they don't do it well; they should stick to what they know - wine.

Sorry guys, my opinion only.

First of three stops today while in the valley, right off the 101 Freeway off of Shoup, pulled into its own parking lot in the back, walked in and saw only three beer fridges, tons of wine all around me though, asked a gentleman working there if that was all the beer they had and he admittedly said unfortunately yes, selection was small, consisted of things you can find pretty much anywhere with the exceptions of Saison Dupont, a few other imports, some Green Flash stuff, a couple Schneider Weisse products, and Stone special releases, everything was refrigerated, prices were pretty average with some things being fifty cents to a dollar more than I am used to seeing them, place was big and clean, probably decent selection for the area but nothing special compared to what I am used to seeing

This place is a wine store first and foremost, with a small beer section. It's mostly the bigger names out of Europe, running the range from Stella to Saison Dupount. As others have mentioned, the only real reason to come here for beer over other liquor stores in the area is for Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, which seems to be available year-round.

That's all you need to know, so I'll get through the other stuff very quickly. The store is fairly nice looking and clean. Everybody is friendly, but since the store is geared towards wine, don't expect to find any beer geeks. Finally, the prices are reasonable.

So, mostly wine, Bigfoot whenever you want it.

Stopped in to see this shop on my last trip to LA.

I was disappointed in the selection available, only 2 coolers worth. It looks like Saki has been eating up the space where the beer was.

Having said that they did carry a few rarer Belgian and French Saisons. Scored one 750-ml bottle of Dupont Foret Organic Saison!
The only reason to come here is for the Saisons.

Friendly enough place and ultra clean and pleasant.

Too bad this place just doesn't stock much beer.

This place is only 2 blocks from the Home Brew Shop.

Nice selection for the discriminating buyer. Mostly wine, but a generous beer selection as well. Some rarer belgians, many german beers, paulaner etc. A few cases of 2004 bigfoot which I think I will have to take off their hands very soon. Overall a nice place to stop in and pick up some beer at a decent price.

Right down the street from LAs best homebrewing shop so it's really nice to buy some brewing supplies, then go right down to a quiet shop and pick out some beers. My favorite thing about this shop is none of the domestic macros are present at all. Fantastic.
