I tried this at the brewery. It poured a cloudy orangish with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had some tropical fruit like zeal. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

On-tap at Heinen's in University Hts., Ohio

This IPA features galaxy hops. Pours golden with a subtle haze; fluffy white head that falls leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas have a nice mixture of tropical and citrus notes. Slightly floral. Some bready malts in the mix. The flavors are pretty bold. Lots of grapefruit and pineapple. Slightly earthy. More floral notes. Lots of fresh grass and pine. Sharp bitterness and lots of hop flavor. Malts are there, but seem to take a backseat. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with active carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink.

This is a really good IPA. This is a nice showcasing of galaxy hops. Well crafted. Recommended.

A- Nice copper color with finger width head, which settled nicely.

S- Smelled very good, hints of grapefruit, lemon and pine.

T- First impression was that it was very light and bland, but the taste settled in and was pretty pleasant. Big time citrus flavor.. all I could taste and smell was grapefruit.

M- Pretty easy to drink, low alcohol percentage was nice.

O- Not a bad IPA overall, not one of my favorites however. I've had a few IPAs from this brewery and liked them a lot more.

A: Pours a relatively clear deep golden orange in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some apricot highlights. The beer has a half finger tall frothy off-white head that reduces to a medium mottled patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of tropical/passionfruit, citrus/orange, and citrus/grapefruit hops over the top of a slightly lighter amount floral hops and caramel malts.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate amount of caramel malt sweetness that is quickly overtaken by the assortment of moderate to strong hop flavors - I detected tropical/passionfruit, citrus/orange, and citrus/grapefruit. There is also a light hint of floral, melon, and herbal hops as well towards the finish. Light to moderate amounts of bitterness that linger slightly.

M: Medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Slick/oily.

O: Definitely an enjoyable IPA and one that was pretty easy to drink - the alcohol was well hidden and the hop flavors were excellent. I enjoyed the mixture of the New Zealand galaxy hops with the west coast style IPA and American hops. Definitely one to get again.

Simple, clean IPA. It's a bit too balanced and mild for my west coast favoring palate, but it's hoppy enough to be pleasant.
