On tap at the Twisted Tasting in Santa Cruz. SC Mountain has a reputation for poor fermentation control, which in turn throws out all kinds of bizarre fruity compounds. What better way to temper those flaws than with barrel aging? This beer is actually not bad. Sweet molasses and caramel with a big dark fruity influence. Too sweet to drink very much of. Fatiguing on the palate despite the relatively modest ABV.
