The Demon Dweller – this evil twin of Green Man’s seasonal Imperial Stout was cast into oak barrels and buried deep in the cellar in 2013. Our brewers are now reluctantly releasing this creepy deviant for your reckoning. Be forewarned, the Demon Dweller is cunningly smooth and has sinister charm. Don’t be afraid of the dark… or maybe you should be!

16oz can opened 9-2-22.
1/2" beige head with limited retention on a jet black body, head hangs in as a ring. Big nose full of wet wood, vanilla, booze, coconut woodsiness. Fresh oak in the flavor, strong barrel notes under a sweet malt char, dark fruit, and wood spice. Full body, low carbonation, with a smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Long and sweet finish. Good to Very Good.

Not sweet at all. Big bold roast malt , nice sweet aroma from the barrel ( not candy sweet, you know the kind if nose on bourbon i mean) a well blended balance of heat ,,cocoa anddark chocolate flavors complemented by the alcohol ( 10%) "
For sure one i would love to try again and again

This beer aged 18 months before opening. It has a dark khaki walnut head. The modest head never builds or retreats. The beer itself is clear dark auburn (SRM 32-36). The viscous pour forms a film that displaces a dense coating of spotty lace on a double-walled pint glass.
The alcohol fumes are quite strong, even after 18 months. Molasses and dark chocolate are prominent. Oak, while clear, is far lesser in intensity, as are vanilla and cream.
Bitterness up front has an equal partner in sweetness. The aroma carries into the flavors with a focus on deep roasted malt. Bourbon notes lighten a little, while peat comes into play with the vanilla and oak. Dark chocolate and sweet espresso show up with warmth along with hints of Kahlua.
The body is dense with a silky smooth texture. Alcohol is much more settled and pleasant after aging, though still quite present. Fine carbonation brushes the palate.
This is a nice dark Stout, well suited for cold months. Regardless, I enjoyed it on the last day of Spring, and found it to be an excellent choice.

As bestial and overpowering as any barrel aged stout. A big beer in every sense of the word, something worthy of your respect and patience.
