Pours into a nonic a clear copper color with a half finger sticky white head atop, not much hops in the nose just mainly caramel and biscuit maltiness, some faint leafy English hops is what is detected by me.The flavors are sweeter than expected with brown sugar and caramel maltiness a little peppery spicy hop presence in the finish but really doesn't play a big role. The name of the beer drew me in and I bought it hoping for a hoppy's not,not horrible but not up to Green Man par in my opinion.

Poured into a Delirium Tremens snifter. Label says 10 09 2015.

A- Pours a reddish medium brown color with a 1/2 inch light tan head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of bubbly surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves large clots behind

S- Moderate hop aroma along with some crystal malt as well as some cereal grain like malt sweetness.

T- Nice hop/malt duality at first, then there's a metallic finish that I'm not really digging. Medium bitterness that lingers a bit. Yeah, the metallic taste clashes with the bitterness and isn't doing this beer much justice. Gets a little better as it warms.

M- Sharp from the hops with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side.

O- Wanting to like this beer but I wish there was more of the malt sweetness in the flavor that I'm finding in the aroma.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium copper-ish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some light golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy/creamy beige head that reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed,

S: Light to moderate aromas of biscuit, caramel, and toasted malts with a slightly heavier aroma of spicy, herbal, and earthy hops in the finish.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of biscuit, caramel, and toasted malts with just a hint of nuttiness and a light amount of brown sugar sweetness. There is a moderate flavor of spicy/peppery hops with a lighter note of herbal and earthy hops. Light to moderate amounts of bitterness which slowly fades away.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: Not exactly what I was expecting, kind of a hybrid English/American style with a much more of English hop choice. Enjoyable and relatively easy to drink, but not sure I would have more than one of these in an evening (or afternoon).

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a deep caramel coloring, with a halo of clingy white head. Nose of nut sweetness and earthy highlights. Very rich. Flavors are tangy sweet caramel and nut forward, slightly cloying on the palate. This seems a bit too sugary. Slick, oily feel in mouth, with a candied sugar aftertaste. Once again, slick and oily into the finish. This one just seemed to miss the mark a bit.
