Notes / Commercial Description:
Green Man India Pale Ale is delectably hoppy with a properly balanced body. Generous hop additions give it a wonderful bitterness and pleasant floral nose, while our combination of traditional British malts creates a rich, satisfying flavor and alluring copper color. This authentic English-style IPA is our flagship ale.

Solid IPA. Has a medium body of hoppyness, which allows it to be not super overpowering. Very Enjoyable. Copper in color.

What a beautiful beer! The presentation may be the highpoint of this brew. Pours a clear deep amber producing 3+ fingers of frothy, somewhat lasting, beige head that leaves heavy webs of thick lacing with a chunky, deep island cap so thick there is no collar ring. Aroma is very balanced caramel malt & pepper with a floral, earthy herbal & thin citrus & pine hop profile. Taste is similar but not very balanced: sweet fronted it rapidly transitions to a robust hop bitterness of herbal/floral, citrus pith & zest & resinous pine from just before mid-sip through the spicy finish that increases to produce a very bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, silky with a nice peppery finish & grainy, astringent aftertaste.

OK IPA. Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. Big antique white head (hard pour) and nice hazy orange color. Head retention is better than average with some spotty patches of lacing on the glass. Fairly faint aroma of floral hops. Taste is mild floral hops and slightly sweet bready malt. Mouthfeel is rich enough for the style and somewhat crisp. Mild bitterness. OK brew, nothing that memorable.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy Amber with a thin white head.

Smell: Light hops and citrus.

Mouthfeel/ Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of bitter pine notes with a hint of citrus.

Overall: Good IPA. Not the best I've ever had but it was enjoyable.

12oz bottle in a nonic pint glass.

Pours a burnt copper color with a 1F linen-white colored head. Heavy spot lacing and good retention.

Whole grain bread and pleasant floral hop aromas.

Malted grain and herbal hops Slightly nutty and earthy.

Bold English style body. Solid malt with hop overbite. Finishes quite clean and a bit dry; I expected some sweetness from its malts.

It looks and plays (taste, etc.) the part of an English IPA, then deals the American touch of more hops. Nice.
