Poured a dark brown/black with about a half inch of light brown head and solid lacing.

The smell was malty and a little coffee-like.

The taste was smooth and malty with hints of chocolate and coffee. It didn't develop much more with time. A nice flavor but it seems a little muted by the bottom of the pint.

The mouthfeel was a little thin for a stout, but still rather solid.

This is a highly drinkable stout. Very smooth flavor, but no amazing flavors either.

Had this on tap at the Elkhart shop.

A- Poured a black color. Good size 2 finger mocha colored head. Retention is pretty good along with a thicker ringing lace on the glass as I drank it down.

S- Biggest aroma in this beer was the roasted malts. Coffee notes kicked in around the middle in light hints. A bittersweet chocolate aroma also came out in hints but overall roasted malts dominate the aroma.

T- The roasted malts came out kicking right off the line. A light coffee flavor would come and go over the roasted flavor overall. Some sweet chocolate malts come in the middle to ending before this beer ends on a bitter note. Hoping in the back end is very piney and bitter.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Roasted malts left everywhere on the palate with each sip. Light hops and roasted malts left to linger in the aftertaste. Beer seemed kind of watery at times for a stout. Flavors were clean overall and blended well together.

D- Overall this was a drinkable stout. Mad Anthony did themself a favor by bringing this one back out.

This beer poured a large brown head with fine sized bubbles. This beer left a great lacing on the sides of the glass. The hue of this beer was black and it had a malty nose.To me this is a mild stout with a smooth taste to it.I wasn't overly impressed, but wasn't totally unimpressed with this particular stout.

Smell offered promise and beer was a nice dark/brown black. Aroma had some chocolate and roasted coffee notes to it. Taste was very bland though. Very watery in te mouth and not much in the way of complex malt flavors. Starts out OK but just has nothing to it on the back end. Disappointing after offering such a nice aroma.

On tap warsaw

A- Dark chocolate brown with mocha 2 finger head. Awesome look to this one.

S- Roasted malts, and some hops.

T- Chocolate, coffee, malty, creamy and smooth. Pretty good but nothing outstanding about it.

M- Due to smoothness and the fact that it is got some thickness to it it has a good mouthfeel for what I was expecting

D- I didn't finish my pint completely. I just couldn't drink a whole lot of it. But, it was still one of their better brews and would rather have this out of a bottle than their gabby blonde lager.

Wonderful beer. Had this beer at Mad Anthony's Restaurant in Auburn IN. Rich dark color with a rich dark taste. Better than Guiness by far. Taste is wonderful and has thick head at the beginning. Could drink this beer all day long. At 4.2% abv this beer is well worth it

Had this at their Fort Wayne location from tap. Our trip dropping off Alea in Lafayette. Deep notes according to Leah. I note chocolates and excellent mouth feel.

This brew poured a huge brown head of fine bubbles and left an excellent creamy clinging vine lacing as it receded. Its body was black as a stout should be. It has a mild malty aroma to it. Its taste was smooth initially and finishes strongly but still on the mild side and very drinkable
