Aiby's is in a strip mall near the Captial Mall in Jefferson City. The beer is in the back and the majority of it is in the coolers. They carry most the of the offerings that Missouri is getting these days. Occasionally they get stuff that doesn't make it 30 miles up the road in Columbia. The service was nice and helpful. He guy working at the time even knew some of my friends that frequent his store because they work in JC. The selection isn't huge but they seemed to have stuff there that sells out faster in other cities. I think there isn't such a huge craft beer following in Jeff City (although, it is growing). Prices seemed fair. I didn't find anything outrageously high. The beer I bought tasted fresh and well taken care of. Probably the best beer store in JC aside from the HyVee nearby. Worth a stop if you're in the capital city.

I like this place.
We stop here everytime we drive down to Lake of the Ozarks.
The store has a nice feel to it and a decent layout. The place is pretty small, and it's a little tricky to know where to turn in, but you'll figure it out!
The best reason for stopping here is how long the Smokestack beers hang around. I've bought tons of BBQ, Saison Brett, Rye on Rye, and others.
The employees are friendly and courteous-- though they didn't seem to know much of anything about beer.

Watch the prices on some of the products-- but overall, this place is worth the 10 minute detour off the highway.

They carry all the standard MO offerings, and I've been able to score various bottles from O'Fallon, Schlafly, and Boulevard.

Abiy's is a great little beer store that I was pleasantly surprised to visit. I didn't have high expectations when I went in, but they have a very nice selection and at times have some hidden little gems. A few weeks ago I stop in on my way the Lakes and was surprised to see a handful of Boulevards Saison with Brett '09 and Rye on Rye '10 still sitting on shelves. These beers disappear quickly in other parts of the state. They also have a decent selection of Belgians and other European beers on shelves. Abiy is a great guy to talk to and is very welcoming when/if you have questions. Anytime now that I drive through Jefferson City, I'll probably make a quick run in to make sure I'm not missing something!

As a connoisseur of spirits in the dry desert of the midwest I give props to Abiy and his fine establishment. In addition to many fine and rare spirits, the beer selection is superb. From premium craft limited editions to the common AAL we are all accustomed to, Abiy's delivers. I was in Jeff City for a history conference and ended up buying a cooler and several pounds of ice in order to transport the vast amount of bubbly beer goodness that I obtained, beer that was unheard of in the dry realm of Southeast Kansas. In addition, I locked my keys in my trunk in his parking lot...don't ask. Abiy was kind enough to help me with a locksmith AND secure my treasure trove of craft beer goodness. I highly recommend this establishment.

Located in a strip mall across from the Hy-Vee and close to the mall, Abiy's is just about the only dedicated liquor store in Jefferson City. Abiy's always a hoot (and he knows his stuff), and his staff range from friendly to really knowledgeable. And they're good about looking for and ordering anything they don't have in stock.

All the "regular" Missouri stuff here.. Blvd., Schlafly, O'Fallon. Pretty good selection of German & British beers, and a decent selection of Belgians. They've really been working on expanding their US-micro selection lately, getting stuff from Anderson Valley, Bear Republic, Left Hand, Souther Tier, etc.

They don't have quite the selection of the better places in Columbia, but they're improving very quickly. Maybe not a place to drive hundreds of miles out of the way for, but worth a stop if in the area, and certainly the best beer place in JCMO. Note: they're closed Sundays, so that's kind of sad..

I am from Wisconsin, in town visiting the In-laws.

When ever I travel, I look for a store to try beer, not avalible in Wisconsin.

This store is fantastic. A big selection of beer. Found 3 new IPA's, Stouts, several Ales and a great Porter.

Ridgeway Brewing form the UK, Bad Elf series, wonderful.

Boulevard Brewing, MO, The porter will make you fall in love, again.

Great Divide, Titon IPA and The Yeti Oak barrel Stouts, well worth a try.

Worth the effort to visit.

The sign is not realy easy to see but make the effort.

I stopped in here while in was passing through Jeff City I had seen the reviews on here and actually accidentally found it when I was flipping a U-turn to get to the mall.

Service: The two ladies that worked in there were very helpful and checked on me several times. We discussed beer for a few minutes and how hopefully how that someday they would have mixer sixers. They were also pretty knowledgeable.

Selection: They had a great variety of macros, micros, locals and imports. Unfortunately there was not much for singles so I bought a few German 500ml's like usually do and Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel. I just wish they had more singles instead of so many cases and 12/6 packs.

The price for the most part is average.

Abiy is very helpful and knowledgeable. He's a business man that knows his customers and wants to keep them happy.

I have been buying mostly wine from him for years, but he recently expanded to double his stores size and thus doubled his inventory incluing one of the best selections of specialty beers in Jeff City. If he doesn't have it, he can probably order it for you.

Abiy's staff a very helpful also and know quite a bit about beer. This is the kind of shop that's fun to browse, you never know what you'll find.

Abiy Hailu, President of International Wines and Liquors takes pride in his well run establishment on 3702 W. Truman Blvd. Jefferson City, MO

Both he and his employee Karri went out of their way to provided me information about local winerys and brewpubs.

Well stocked with lots of craft beer including many nice Belgian styles and willing to special order requests (Bell's Batch 8000). Karri is knows her wines selection but is also helpful with finding good beer.

Easy to locate, friendly and well stocked - kind of place you want to comeback to again and again.
