I had the chance to visit RI and some dear friends down there. As a side trip, I was able to go to Coddington Brewpub with one of said friends so that he could meet with a client. I'm glad I went, it's a nice place with a place mat that has diagrams of their brewing process. I think I picked the wrong beer though! Here's my review!
A- Pale gold, straw colored.
S- Grassy, very Pilsner-like, some bready malts coming through after the initial sniff.
T- Some citrus notes, light malts, grass. Hops come through at the finish, bitter, slight pine, some grapefruit.
M- Based on the mouthfeel and how hot it was yesterday even for RI standards, I could drink this all day. Crisp, refreshing, definitely nice.
O- I have had better, but then again I played it safe considering that this style is very simple. I generally look at the "simple" brews to base my critique on a brewery. If they can't get a simple style right, it's not worth the time to return. This one hits the mark, but I think I'll try something more adventurous next time.

Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a bright, vibrant, yellow-gold coloring with a filmy, clingy, white coating of head. The nose is roasty and floral, with some buttery highlights. Light and inviting aromas. Great lacing along the glass as you drink. The beer has smooth, roasty, and crisp flavors, with a roasted grain backbone. Very smooth and balanced. Roasted/toasted cereal aftertaste, with a smooth, clean finish. Very good beer.

Poured in a 7 oz. sample glass as part of a beer flight at the Coddington Brewpub in Middletown, RI.
A: Poured a light, pale straw yellow color with a frothy head of white foam which left great lacing.
S: Fresh grain, light citrus essence and some metallic aromas.
T: Lightly toasted, buttery bread and a zesty grain taste balanced with some dry, mild herbal hopping. Don't really pick up too much wheat or yeast flavors.
M: Light and crisp with a sort of watery quality and a dry finish.
D: The low ABV and high drinkability of a blonde with some more character. Not a bad choice to wash down a meal or quench your thirst after outdoor activities in the sun, but not a whole lot to keep going back to otherwise.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poured a crystal clear pale yellow color with a small white head on it. The aroma was very weak. Good, but just almost nothing there. Faint notes of malts and grassiness. The taste is equally light. Just a slight taste of malts and grassy hops. Very much a starter beer. Good for the Bud Light crew only.
