Amber colored beer, not winning any points for clarity. Hefeipa or something huh? Didn't pick up hops in the aroma, picked up the smell of the metal can.

Taste, not as horrible as my brother seemed to make me think it was gonna be. Don't get me wrong, this stuff sucks for an ipa, but it is drinkable at least. Then again, I did pawn most of it off on the girlfriend after a few sips. Leans to the maltier side of things, an appreciable degree of bitterness. More metallic flavor possibly contributing to the bitterness where there appears to be little hop contribution.

Comes in a can, bonus points, but really, this beer's only positive is that its in a can. Drinkable, but not recommended.

Served on tap @ Silverton Brewery.
A- Clear amber with 1 finger of heasd that quickly goes away. No lacing.
A_ very light hops & malt smell Hard to smell over the burnt pizza smell permiating the establishment.
T- Light hops taste w/ big malt back note.
M- Medium to light mouth feel with proper carbonation.
The menu says this is an IPA 6.5 ABV @ 73 IBU. Board on wall says "Americanized ESB" using cascade and palisades hops 6.0 abv 72 IBU.
This seems to be more of an ESB.
I would not go out of my way to get this beer, in fact given this trail and other reviews I will probably avoid this brewery. See my beerfly report for more.

12oz bottle. Pours a reddish amber with a small off white head that quickly goes to a thin film.

The aroma is sweet vegetal crystal malts with a little fruit and grassy hops.

The flavor is sweet crystal malts with a little green resin from the hops. It has decent grassy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery.

Overall, not a great IPA. It's too sweet and doesn't show good hop characteristics with some off notes.

Sad to report, this "award-winning" brew is one of the worst things I've ever put to my lips.

Pours a lightly amber gold with minimal head or retention. Color is alright, and I'm fine with a touch of haze in my IPAs.

But with the first whiff something seems amiss. Buttery toffee notes against a stale hop and prune-y, oxidative backdrop.

On the palate this is a huge, buttery, diacetyl laden mess. Hop flavors are swallowed whole, grapefruit and citrus notes are hiding in the background, and even the malt character is swallowed up. Redemption only comes, strangely, in the finish, which has a nice, firm bitterness that cleans it a little off the tongue.

Between the diacetyl and high alcohol problems noted in a bunch of Silverton beers, I'd say someone needs to work on their temp control...

Very cloudy and hazy. No too much head to speak of. Interesting appearance. Nice crown of foam.

Paper scent. Much like soggy cardboard. Dirt.

Very off-putting. It tastes like my first homebrew (it was a stout). Not much good to say about this one. Over carbonated. Light body. Not creamy or hoppy. Bad, just bad. Very off style and wrong.

Not recommended. Drain pour, if i had the heart. Thanks Jeremy and Killion for the thought! you two rock!
