A: Clear and dark ambe pourr. Single finger width, creamy head. Leaves a little lacing behind as it goes on.

S: Hops in the smell, mild pine notes. A strong sourness to it as well.

T: The usual grassy hop taste with a balance of malt thrown in. A hint of caramel sits on the tongue. Bitter, but pretty mildly.

M: Pretty crisp and a little light, but overall medium bodied. Starts to stick around mid-glass in the back of the throat.

There are better IPAs, but this one is pretty solid, especially once the beer warms a bit.

Poured from 12 oz. can into standard pint glass.

A - looks a nice amber color, with a bit of cloudiness to it. Head retention was minimal and disappeared within a minute or so.

M - smooth. Different, reminds me more of an English ipa. That said, much different than the most ipa's in colorado.

T - really small hop flavor. Dominated by malt. Not bad, just not what I expected.

D - drinkable, but I'd have a tough time buying this one again unless it was the only ipa in the store.

Served on tap @ Silverton Brewery.
A- Clear amber with 1 finger of heasd that quickly goes away. No lacing.
A_ very light hops & malt smell Hard to smell over the burnt pizza smell permiating the establishment.
T- Light hops taste w/ big malt back note.
M- Medium to light mouth feel with proper carbonation.
The menu says this is an IPA 6.5 ABV @ 73 IBU. Board on wall says "Americanized ESB" using cascade and palisades hops 6.0 abv 72 IBU.
This seems to be more of an ESB.
I would not go out of my way to get this beer, in fact given this trail and other reviews I will probably avoid this brewery. See my beerfly report for more.
