Draft at Autumn Brew Review. Wow, pours a bright, clear maraschino cherry red color with a white wispy head. Very sweet chery pie filling like aroma and nothing else coming from this. Medium mouthfeel. The taste is like drinking liquid pie filling! Good, but pretty sweet overall. Not tart at all. As a fruit beer I think this is very successful but again the sweetness could be dialed down just a touch.

Bottle shared thanks to rudylaw at our Epic cellar cleaning-

Appearance- Light pink with a mountainous head that settles after 5 minutes into a half finger ring. Great lacing.

Aroma- Slightly tart cherry, a little sweet biscuit malt.

Taste- Nice tart cherry, as others have noted it is a lot like drinking cherry pie filling.

Mouth- great carbonation, light on the palate and not cloying at all.

Drink- I had a third of the bottle and wanted more.

Big thanks to CaptinRedBeard for sharing this on 11/13/10. Hand numbered large format bottle # 49/150.

Poured into a snifter this brew appears a lightly hazed ruby color. The head is lightly stained red and composed of large bubbles. A swirl revives the pinkish cap to a finger's strength and laces in patches about the glassware.

The aroma of this brew initially is slightly medicinal like luden's cherry cough drops. It opens up with more deep cherry pit scents and a slightly spiced character reminescent of cinnamon. In the back of the nose are some citrus and earthy hops that accent the cherry character to really bring out a sweet deep cherry smell that turns out to be more natural than the initial impression.

The taste of this brew is sweet and earthy like cherry pits. Quite a significant amount of real, natural cherry flavor. There is a slight mineral quality about it that tastes a tad bit chlorinated. There is no indication of the abv to be found. Well balanced with a tart cherry to earthy goodness that lasts inside the mouth.

This is a medium to light bided offering with a high level of carbonation. This brew is packed full of real cherry flavor and offers a slight tartness similar to biting into an unripened cherry not a bacterial type of tartness. This brew is excessively drinkable and would be an interesting selection to share with someone as a "cross over" beer. If you drink this beer expecting lambic, you will be disappointed. This drinks just as good and is as enjoyable (if not moreso) than any other fruit beer I have had.

Brewed with 1000 lbs of Door County cherries.

Pours a white head. Color is hazy bright red. Peach hue to the color.

Aroma: clean cherries. Smells like cherry pie. Bready/pie crust flavored malts. The cherries are not tart, but rather sweet.

Taste: The cherries are more tart here, but they are still sweet. Reminds me of pie and pie crust with the cherries coming out of the oven. Pretty decent flavor.

Mouthfeel: Sweet with a touch of tartness. Refreshing. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends clean with cherries.

Overall, really drinkable for how sweet it is. I would have more of this one. A good desert beer. I am impressed with this one.
