Woodford Reserve Bourbon Barrel Aged

Pours a creamy tan head. Color is a dark brown nearing black. Lots of lace.

Flavor: rich with chocolate and cocoa. Caramel with the coffee and roast. The bourbon shows, but it isn't overpowering. A nice addition to the base beer. Oak and vanilla show too.

Mouthfeel: roasted and smooth. Medium bodied with a fine amount of carbonation.

Overall, this was a really nice oatmeal stout. I liked how the barrels didn't thin the beer out and dominate the flavors.
