Drank this out of a 22oz bomber into a tulip glass. I personally like these better if you warm it up to room temp. The taste seems to jump out more so on the raspberry than the other lambics and was one of my favorites without a doubt. Right on the money with the fruit and just the right amount of lambic pucker. Fruit is present both from first taste to after taste. Worth seeking out . Without a doubt one of my Upland favs.!

Pours a rather clear, amber color with nearly no head on the pour.

The aroma is quite nice. Of course the obligatory tart components are available, as well as a nice dash of raspberry.

The taste is where it's at for me with this beer. Really quite good, with a nice tart note, and a very authentic raspberry flavor. Having a very natural raspberry flavor is really key in making a beer like this so I certainly appreciate that.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and perfectly carbonated.

Drinkability is high. A very nice lambic. Tasty, not too complex, easy to consume, not overwhelming on the tartness. Just all around a winner and enjoyable to drink.

Reviewed on 06/05/2009. Bottle at PPRBSG09 thanks to notalush. Pours a cloudy light orange. Aroma of sweet raspberry, funk, and yeast. Very delicious aroma! Flavor is tart initially with sweet raspberries and yogurt, with a sour, acidic finish. Very nice.

Thanks to urwithdave for sharing. Poured into my CCB tulip.

A: Dark pink color. The pour dropped an big three finger head the quickly faded to a thin rim.

A: Big time sour raspberries. Herbal, sour, and other citrus. Underliying base malt tries to lend some balance.

T: Man this is tart. Very sour and fizzy. The raspberries are the star of the show, but there are notes of other red berries and sweet pale malt.

M: Very carbonated, fizzy. Light body.

O: Really good beer. I've had better sours, but this one I wouldn't pass up.

Poured into a tulip. Bottled 3/7/11, Batch 53-09. Big thanks to Rempo for this.

2.5 A: Opaque cherry plum color. First pour gave me a lot of head. Second pour gave me a full glass with two and a half fingers of fizzy pink head that falls quickly and leaves no lacing. Some small floaties pushed around from the constant and intense stream of bubbles from the bottom of the glass.

3.5 S: This is less fruity in the nose than the other Uplands, though the raspberry is still easily discernable. A good hit of lactic tanginess, but not much in terms of sourness. Plenty of oak and vanilla to a lesser extent. Notes of hay and orchard funk. More sweet than the others with just a touch of tartness.

4.0 T: The taste is more attuned to what I expect. Full of tart raspberry that offers a good mix of sweet and sour. Again, lots of fruity lactic acid that gives off cherry and blueberry in addition to the raspberry. Some notes of acetic acid. Again hay and orchard funk. Moderately puckering overall. Not bad.

3.5 M: Light to lighter medium body. Carbonation is spritzy (which I like) and a good bit higher in volume than I'd prefer (which can be distracting at times). Puckering on finish.

3.5 D: Another solid beer in the lambic lineup. This has a pretty good taste and is among the more sour from the series. Smell is strangely more subdued than the taste suggests and the carbonation of this bottle is distractingly high.
