Pours a murky golden color with a very small film of a head. Aroma, green apples, puckering candies, pear, lemon, strawberry. Taste-tart, lemon, strawberry, sour peach a little. A fruity taste that is hard to place must be kiwi (not really tight with Kiwi lately)mouthfeel- very carbonated. Adds to a little bit of a shock from the tartness. Overall, I really do like the taste in this one. After a few sips it feels like it may be unsettling for the stomach. Be warned. This also doesn't come across as heavily fruited. I taste quite a bit of base beer qualities, which is nice.

Pours a loud, fizzy head that recedes almost immediately in a violent action, dissipating to nothing. A faintly fruity, tart aroma with maltiness underneath. Turbid, straw color. Starts insanely sour; a very poignant, biting sourness. Mild fruitiness turns into lovely maltiness. The finish is delicious malt with a fruitiness hiding in the background.

Overall, and excellent sour. Kiwi? I guess; the sourness pairs with the kiwi almost too well; it kind of masks the kiwi aspect.

Consumed 6/24/16

Note: May 2014 bottle

A: Honey with some orange highlights - hazy - pours with a fizzy white head - fades fairly fast to virtually nothing except a faint collar, leaves a few specs of temporary lacing

S: Sharp cheese - seriously, this smells reminiscent of a block of sharp cheddar - loads of funk, sharp sourness, and some tart - highly lactic, with some damp, musty cellar and hints of yogurt - super sharp acidity as well, with some straight-up lemon - loads of wood, sharp oak - fruit, with some straight-up kiwi fruit flesh - malt base is mostly hidden by the cheesy fruit funk blast

T: Cheese and kiwi - super sharp acidity - loads of straight-up acid and lemon - sharp cheddar cheese - some lactic sour, with some musty cellar - like a Gueuze with loads of sour complexity - lingering sharp sour, like a Warhead - more cheese - fruity, with some super-tart kiwi - lots of wood, with sharp oak - light sweetness

M: Medium body, borderline nonexistent carbonation, stupidly sharp if I haven't mentioned that enough already - actually becomes punishing after a while, forces you to sip

O: Hard cheese soft fruit!

Upland's Kiwi Lambic is so stupidly sour I might need a new mouth after this. There's so much sour, tart, wood, and cheese in here. It burns in a good way, bur... This may be one of the only beers I've had, ever, that may be too sour.
