Upland Wheat is Yellowish in color with a little bit if cloudiness and with a nose of yeast, coriander, banana, and a touch of citrus. Foam on this beer is light and there is little or no lacing.

This beer has a taste that is what one would expect following its nose. It has a flavor that combines yeast, banana, wheat, and spice like clove and coriander. The body of the beer is medium and its taste is generally refreshing, even though the finish does have a slight bite.

This is a good, middle of the road wit that isn’t pretentious in any way and will be acceptable to most. There are better wit out there, sure, but this is still a good one with a moderate amount of spice and an easy- drinking profile.

12 fl. oz. bottle
Served in a pilsner glass

A - This beer turned to foam as soon as I poured it. I had a glass full of fluffy, white head. Once it settled, I had a straw colored, cloudy beer. There were suspended particles of yeast.

S - The smell contains some of those familiar smells, orange and coriander, with some yeast aromas.

T - The flavors seem faded. There is some weak orange and yeast taste.

M - Moderate

O - This is probably the most flavorful beer that I have had of their everyday beers. It has some decent flavor to it but by no means a standout.

Part of a sampler pack, but is Upland's #1 selling beer.

A - Slightly cloudy golden yellow. Not as cloudy as some Wits. Light white head that subsides quickly. No lacing.

S - Phenolic with some wheat yeast aroma. Some light grain tone there too.

T - Typical phenolic clove flavor with yeast, bread, and wheat character on top. Also has subtle hints of coriander and tart orange that come to taste after the clove. Some sweetness with the spiciness but without bitterness. Spice from the phenolic covers dominate. A standard Belgian wit.

M - Light mouth-feel. Has light carbonation. light body make this brew refreshing with a dry, tart finish.

Overall, this is a nice summer brew when it's too hot for a heavier beer. Seemingly a run of the mill Belgian wit but obviously has a following if it's Upland's "bread winner". I would drink it again but not going to be high on my list of choices.
