A fresh bottle poured at around 50 degrees into a Red Hook limited release glass.

This is Upland's second round of the Harvest, and I was definitely looking forward to another fresh batch after last year's. Pours a crystal clear gold with a nice thick white head and solid lacing down the side of the glass. Aromas of honey, floral, and a distinct upland malt bill that comes through on all of their ales - the citra isn't overwhelming but it's there, very much blended in with the malts as opposed to standing out in front.

The taste very much confirms that - it's by far and away my favorite hopped offering from Upland, but as always I'd love more hops. Still, gotta hand it to them for shooting moreso for a balance between malts and hops, and the malt bill offers just enough of a sourdough (in a good way), rye, and biscuit backing for the wildflower honey and light lemony citrus of the hop bill. Very, very drinkable as a slightly spicier and hoppier pale ale offering.

The mouthfeel is light enough to be sessionable, but full-bodied enough to remind you that you're having a solid pale ale, and what is really sticking with me is the hint of spicy clove that is working well with the malts and hops here. I'll have to try this on draft to see if there's much of a difference. Overall, it's a nice local wet-hopped offering that runs about the same price per 6er as one bottle of Broodoo, and while it doesn't touch FFF's offering by way of in-your-face hop quality, it's still good in it's own right. I'm sure I'll enjoy plenty of these this fall.

12oz brown bottle with no freshness date.

A beautiful looking brew, clarity and retention are superb. Big hop bomb of a nose with hints of citrus rind, spruce, tobacco, and fresh grass. Super fine crispness, bold fresh hop flavor with a hint of cattiness. Hint of alcohol ... Clean and grainy with a never ending hop flavor. Ample bitterness let the palate know Upland was serious about hopping here.

One I'd love to run into every year to come.

Pours a clean, clear amber with pleasantly prodigious head of white suds. Attractive lattice lace, too.

Nose is a lovely tropical mango, pineapple, and citrus hops mix. Very appealing.

Taste is smooth and delicious, with more of the snappy tropical fruit and citrus hops notes. A wonderful pale ale and one that I hope manages to remain available more readily. I will be drinking more of these.

Pours a deep golden color, solid white head with good lacing, some large soap like bubbles at first notice, definitely fresh, could perhaps stand for another week or two in the bottle.

Smell is heavy on piney resin but also some bright citrus. I read somewhere the hop is citra, which rings true with my nose.

Very smooth, almost caramel like mouthfeel and nicely bitter as well, a touch of honeylike sweetness. A bit thing though.

Really nice fresh hop, look forward to getting more of this before gone.

Poured into my Upland pint glass. Glad to have a local fresh hop ale.

Pours orange/gold with a small white head. Little retention or lacing.

You can definitely tell by the aroma this one has citra. Citrus and the lush tropical fruitness I associate with this hop is present. A bit of pine and a touch of caramel provide balance.

Flavor is a bit surprising. Still some citrus and tropical fruit, but the hop flavor profile is decidedly leaning toward piney and resiny. Some caramel and grainy malts present to provide balance, but this one still taste way more like an IPA than a 35 IBU pale ale. I personally won't complain about that, but just surprised.

Medium to light mouthfeel. Perhaps a touch thin, but given the ABV I wouldn't expect a heavy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation and a lingering resin on the back of the tongue.

Good solid beer from my local establishment and one I'll be glad to drink any day. That said, I've had better fresh hop ale and would've liked to see the tropical fruitiness of the citra hop stand out a bit more in the flavor profile. Please make this one a yearly occurence Upland!

A-Amber orange, some carbonation, tries to leave behind some lacing.

S-Earthy hops, some malt, tad bit of citrus hops as well.

T-Earthy/pine hops, caramel and other malts. Decent mild bitterness. Balance is good. As it warms more citrus notes come through.

M-Light to medium bodied, good deal of carbonation along with hop resins.

O-After having Upland's APA and IPA I was worried about this one, but it delivered. Not great but a tasty brew. Man, I love fresh hopped beers.
