This is a summer coconut beer that pours clear gold with a thin head. Many people like this beer but I find the coconut taste a little overbearing and syrupy.

Draft. Poured into a pint glass a clear golden color with a slight white head. Coconut aroma not unlike the aroma of a good suntan lotion while sitting on the beach. Sweet start with a building flavor of coconut that really comes into it’s own at the end. Not overly chocolatey but you get a slight chocolate flavor at the end. Medium mouthfeel. Some nice head retention. Overall a tasty coconut beer.

Thanks to Ethan for sharing this growler. Served in a Darkness snifter.
A - A finger of white foam settles to a thick collar, patchy cap, and a spot or two of lace. Mostly transparent orange-amber body.
S - Smells like a macaroon. Just a ton of coconut, along with some faint sweet malt. There's perhaps a slight acetone note in the periphery that could be due to the growler being a bit old, but otherwise it's all coconut.
T - Taste like macaroons too! Coconut, sugar, and a surprising hint (or implication) of chocolate. Finishes clean, and the odd note in the aroma is gone.
M - Surprisingly hefty body, medium-low carbonation, and a toasty, dry finish. Very clean residual texture. No alcohol apparent.
D - Not the easiest beer to drink - I can see why Ethan held off on opening this growler until a bunch of us were around to share it. It succeeds at the desired goal - to taste like a Macaroon, but it's not something I need a lot of in my life.

Thanks to tytoanderso for sending this growler my way. Macaroon pours out a straight orange color, with a finger of white head support. Ya definitely get a lot of coconut shavings in the nose, actually quite reminiscent of a macaroon; on the right track so far. The flavor comes off somewhat buttery, and underwhelming at the offset, but after swallowing all of the macaroon character shines through. The mouthfeel is medium to heavy in body, and quite tasty. I am glad MTH didn't make this an Imperial Stout or Porter, and make it too over the top. A ton of macaroon flavor comes through in this somewhat mild style of beer. Well done.

On-tap at the brewpub.
A: Clear light amber body with a solid cap of fine white bubbles. Pretty standard, and not at all bad.
S: Sweet + toasty, with coconut dominating, expectedly. Smells...interesting.
T: Yup, that tastes exactly like a macaroon: rich, toasted coconut and creamy vanilla. Wow.
M: Medium bodied, lightly sticky, and full of prickly carbonation. Ok.
O: I was skeptical at best coming in to this one, but it really impressed me how perfectly it nailed the flavor of the dessert. I wouldn't want to drink more than one of these, but as a gimmick beer it's pretty fantastic.
Cheers!

Thanks to Mike aka TheDudeRules for providing me a growler of this brew. Absent a trip to Minneapolis, this will have to do. That said, my guess is this Macaroon beer lost a little life in the FedEx flight to Brooklyn.
All the same this beer is darn well-balanced. The smell and taste of coconut and sugar, butter and honey, a kiss of chocolate roast, and bittering hops come all the way through in this beer. Maybe it's a light summer dessert beer, oraye it's great paired with food, but the medium body, amber to red appearance, and clean finish make for such an enjoyable drink that it's hard not to picture a moment when you'd enjoy it.
For me it was at the end of a long beer tasting, and then to ight after work. Although the head lacks a bit on the pour, I blame the transport more than the brewer. It starts sweet, finishes coconut, and when you aren't looking hits you with a hop or two at the back.
Ultimately, macaroon is what they call it, and what it tastes like. The only reason this isn't a straight up A for me is that... well... It's macaroon. But I can't fault it for that either.
Thanks, Mike, for a great drink.

POurs a clear amberish orange with a decent head. Smells really sweet with coconuts, sweet malts, and cinnamon. The taste follows up splendidly. Opens up with a nice sweetness from the cookie malts. In time, these fade to an awesome coconut and vanilla flavor. This ends with a nice touch of cinnamon and cookie pie crust with sweet coconut lingering on the exhale. This is what a macaroon would taste like in liquid form. Really good and highly recommended! One of the more unique beers I have tried.

A clean and clear light brown color with a short cap of foam on top.
The smell is lightly of coconut with a hint of cocoa.
Taste starts out with some light malt and a hint of cocoa powder and milk chocolate. The toasted coconut comes in at the end. It's not as strong as the coconut in Three Hour Tour or Cocoanut Brown, but it is there and it's the highlight. More muted, but still very tasty. I would say this tastes like a macaroon cookie, but in a lighter way.
Kind of crisp and very smooth. Nice carbonation.
A very drinkable beer and yet another coconut beer hit from Town Hall. I prefer the above mentioned coconut beers from Town Hall over this one, but this is a nice substitute as the others were not available at the time. Another beer job well done Town Hall.

Appearance is a golden shade of brown with a modest white head. Nice aroma shows graham crackers and coconut. Flavor is even better with honey, caramel and a strong toasted coconut character. Fairly sweet and kind of reminds me of fried ice cream. Mouthfeel is light - body is on the thin side with minimal carbonation, but fits the beer just fine.
Overall impression - delicious, but sweetness would probably limit me to one or two pints. Hope to see this one again.

Looking all the world like a typical pale ale, or a typical cookie.
Aroma: sweetness starts it off, and you're getting all coconut. Some malt below, no hops…but, all cocoanut. Wait, is it coconut or cocoanut? How much do the Marx Brothers have to do with it?
There's little cocoa here, not so much "nut", but so much coconut!
Gonna taste it: spritz of hops, very serene and subtle. And then, coconut. Soft on the palate, full of sweet, coco-nutty flavor, but never too much. Not overwhelming. Not sickly. …oh, wait, maybe a little? No, not really.
But damnit, it's drinking awful nicely. I could finish this whole growler.
Don't think I will, though, but it would be ridiculously easy, even while I'm missing the hops I desire.
Damned delicious, and incredibly well-made. Another off-beat Town Hall winner.

Poured into a pint glass from the tap.
Pours a nice golden honey color. A scant amount of white head. Lacing is pretty much nill. Smells strongly of roasted coconut and sweet malt. Downright heavenly. This beer drinks so smoothly. A damn near perfect summer drinker. The taste is coconut and sweet caramel malt. A liquid candy bar. I wasn't expecting this to be this damn good.
I came for a pint. I could have sat there all day so I left. Not before I bought 3 growlers of it though. I hope this beer is yearly.

Poured on draft into a pint glass.
A- Yellow bronze color, a little cloudy, slight carbonation, nice lacing, ½ finger white head,
S- Unique aroma, sweet coconut, kind of a fruity aroma to it.
T- Really tasty, coconut upfront, sweet, creamy, some bitterness comes out on the finish, really enjoyable.
M- Medium mouthfeel, really smooth.
O- Interesting beer, the first coconut style beer I’ve had, and I was impressed, would gladly have this again.

I asked the style but no one knew. (edit: I guess it would be placed under the fruit/vegetable category).
Served in a pint glass with white head and little retention. Left a bit of lace. Color is a Orange hued gold.
Aroma: coconuts and mounds bar. Pretty malty. Sweet and creamy.
Taste: cream soda and coconuts. Reminds me of a mounds bar. Marshmallows. A bit sweet. No hops present. Pretty awesome flavor.
Mouthfeel: creamy and smooth. Lighter bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends with more coconut.
Overall this was a great beer. Very tasty and really drinkable. A must try.
