On tap at Town Hall Brewery. This beer arrives a amber-orange color. The head is a solid inch of dense white foam that sticks around until the beer is gone. The aroma is of grapefruit, and pine with some caramel in the back ground. The taste is similar to the aroma with a sharp bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a smooth texture, and moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a solid pale ale that I would happily drink again.

Served with a finger of off white head. Leaves some nice lace walls. Color is a bronze copper.

Aroma: some pale malts with a lot of floral and grassy flavors. Some caramel flavors. Very hoppy.

Taste: more hops with a little bit of fruity citrus.  Floral and grassy. The cascades show nicely here but I have never had Willamette. Bready and floral malts with a hint of caramel. Kind of dank and weedy.

Mouthfeel: sticky and bitter. Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Ends sticky and hop resiny.

Overall this was a fantastic pale. Very hoppy and clean. Very enjoyable. Very drinkable. I got a growler of this and had no problem finishing it off. Love this beer.

After a week or two of spiced winter ales, I pulled this growler of American Pale Ale from the back of the beer fridge as my first beer of 2012. Picked it up from TH just for the Williamette and Cascade blend, a favorite of mine since doing a fresh hop homebrew with the combination two years ago.

Copper and gold ale with an off white head. Looks a bit like Masala Mama in the glass, but a bit lighter. Hops busted out of the growler and climbed out of the glass right to my nose from the counter. Excellent. Classic northwest hop smell with tons of grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon and a little pepper on top of a light, sweet biscuity malt. Again, basse beer reminds me of Masala Mama and wouldn't be surprised if it shares a very similar, if lighter, base beer. Sweet and light in the mouth. Hops have a nice twang but lighter than the nose. Dry, grassy hop bitterness of the back of the tongue. Grassy and earthy hop bitterness lingers in the mouth in between sips. Looks like it's going to be a very good year!

Draft. Poured into a pint glass a medium dark copper color with a 1 finger light tan head. Nice subtle hoppy aroma of both slight citrus and pine. Medium mouthfeel. Light citrus sweetness upfront with a building rind bitterness note. Pretty flavorful. Minimal lace. Ends with a lingering bitterness.
