64 oz. growler bought from the brewpub. Poured into a Sam Adams "Perfect Pint" glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep brownish amber orange with some hints of ruby red. Lots of rising bubbles and a solid three fingers of off white head with good retention. Leaves some good lacing clinging onto the glass.

Smell: A nice sweet and malty aroma. Roasted malts with good hints of burnt caramel, toffee, chocolate, coffee, nut, butter, and biscuit. Has a nice cookie dough like scent. A very English like malty aroma. Very solid for the style and low alcohol.

Taste: A pretty good malty and creamy taste. Roasted malts with notes of toffee, caramel, cookie dough, biscuit, butter, nuts, chocolate, and coffee. Tastes somewhat sweet but has a nice dryness in the roasted flavors. Hop presence is very subtle. Very flavor packed for such a small beer. Really impressive and good taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Very creamy and smooth. Finishes dry.

Overall: A very good session ale here. Its everything you would want out of a English style mild, Nice buttery biscuit and roasted flavors while keeping the body and alcohol low.
