This was a decent beer and I would drink it again, I do enjoy Oatmeal Stout, however, this one did nothing to make me go wow. The smell started me off nice but the taste was not as impressive. There is the taste of roasted grains and caramel. This beer is filling and enjoyable, but don't expect to be swept off of your feet.

Thus beer pours nice and dark with a finger of off white nice head that recedes to nothing fairly quickly. Aroma is mild sweet caramel with roasty coco and roasted barley. Flavor is creamy roasty and has a bit of coco/milk chocolate. Mild astringency, but otherwise very nice. Mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. Medium
Bodied with nice carb. Awesome beer.

Served in a standard pint, the beer is jet black with a tan head and nice lacing. Good looker!

The nose is of roasted malts, brown sugar, dark fruit and a subtle hint of smoke.

The beer is as expected a bit sweet. The oatmeal adds nice texture and taste. The malts add a toasted almost coffee like backdrop. There is a bit of wood taste in the background, which is different, and got me wondering of the keg was just about to kick.

The mouth is creamy and satisfying. I had a couple and was pleased with my choice!

A: Pours a pitch black body and a dark tan 2cm head that dissipates slowly.
S: Smells really doughy, specifically like pizza dough. Oatmeal, and some coffee.
T: Not as much of the dough as in the smell. A lot of oatmeal, also some non-sweet chocolate.
M: Sticky and thick and pretty heavy; great for the style.
D: Could probably have a couple of these, which is great for such a thick stout.

a big thanks to a person in Minneapolis, Minnesota for this growler of beer. had this earlier this month. poured a dark brown to black with a nice sized tan head. aroma, roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, dark cherries a nice sweetness just lingers over the top of the glass. flavor the sweetness is just right for me , got chocolate covered cherries, malts, a touch of vanilla. mouthfeel was a little on the thin side that just made it a very easy drinking beer I just kept filling my glass I think I drank 3/4 of the growler in a very short period time (like 45 min.)

Poured on tap at the brewpub into a pint glass

A- Pitch black one finger mocha brown head, dissipates quickly
S- Very soft mellow aroma, hints of oats and roasted coffee, malts as well, very subtle
T- The taste is better than the aroma, kind of hoppy, sweet, coffee, roasted oats, chocolate, some carbonation, nice surprising taste to this one, very enjoyable.
M- Medium mouth feel well carbonated, very smooth.
O- Solid, oatmeal stout, enjoyable creaminess to it, easy drinkability, a nice regular beer at Town Hall.
