64 oz. growler bought from the brewpub with a date of September 09, 2013. Poured into a Town Hall Chalice glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About two fingers of off white head that fade into a thin patchy layer. Leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass.

Smell: A crisp and sweet malt driven aroma with a big presence of citrus esters. Bready pils malt with hints of grains, biscuit, yeast, straw, and cracker. Big citrus hints of orange peel, lemon zest, and tangerine. Sweet scent of honey and candied sugar. Light hints of grassy hops in the background. Very big with the citrus. A very nice zesty aroma.

Taste: Like the aroma, a zesty malt forward taste with a big presence of citrus esters and sweet honey. Bready pilsener malts with notes of grains, biscuit, yeast, cracker, and straw. Noticeable presence of honey sweetness along with some Belgian candied sugar. Big juicy citrus fruit notes of orange peel, lemon zest, and some tangerine. Subtle grassy hops linger in the background. A very nice zesty and sweet taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy and fairly sweet. Very smooth. No sign of the 7.3 alcohol.

Overall: A pretty good and interesting beer. Light and easy to drink but very full with the citrus and honey flavor.
