Town Hall Brewery is a brewery and restaurant featuring world-class beer, fantastic food, and an atmosphere worthy of both. It’s a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
We’ve been crafting great beer at Seven Corners in Minneapolis since 1997. And through hard work and a bit of luck, we’ve picked up quite a few awards for our efforts over the years. In fact, we’ve been awarded more medals at the Great American Beer Festival than any other Minnesota brewery.
We’re proud of all our accolades, but the best ones don’t come from a panel of judges – they come from our customers and friends. Our beers are brewed for real people and individual experiences. We’d love it if you took the time to get to know them for yourself.

I was less than impressed with this place, after having heard so much about it. Average beer, so-so service. Preset flights, but there was a build your own option. I didn't eat, but it seemed to be turning over the crowd very fast. Drink, eat, drink, skedaddle. For a better experience go across the street to Republic

Located in the Seven Corners neighborhood, just off of I-35. Situated in an older building right next to a big hotel. There is a parking ramp nearby, along with street parking. Has an outside patio right next to the street intersection. Inside is lots of wood with a formed tin ceiling. Shorter bar for seating with a beautiful back bar. Being a brewpub this place has full liquor service and food is prepared on site. No view of brewing equipment. Booths, tables and high tops for seating. Very solid beer offerings, with always a few available on nitro. Great barrel aging program with a special couple of weeks in late winter for that year's releases. Experienced and helpful staff.

Nice place to visit for a local beer. Cool design on the inside. Beers are good for a local brewpub with beer brewed on site. Food is ok bar food.

Visited on a recent work trip to Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Tried the following:
Minneapolis Town Hall Masala Mama IPA (draft)
Minneapolis Town Hall Black H₂O Oatmeal Stout (draft)
Both beers were top-class examples of their respective styles. Tap selection offered something for everyone. Had the Beef Short Rib with Mac & Cheese to eat; it was delicious. Lovely dark wood bar/pub atmosphere in here with a few games on the flat screens. Service was fine as my drinks and food arrived in timely fashion. Waitress didn’t engage, however. My overall experience was very good, and I would likely come back.

Located in Seven Corners, a local hub for alternative theater and in many ways the cultural crossroads of Minneapolis, between the sports arenas of downtown Minneapolis, the law and business schools at the U, and the undaunted diversity and counterculture of Cedar-Riverside, the Town Hall Brewpub is the neighborhood anchor of good beer, good food, and good conversation. Inside is a lovely old world pub. Or you can watch the people of Seven Corners from the large sidewalk seating area outside, Minnesota weather-permitting.
There are 20 Town Hall beers on tap, with great variety, including a nitro dark beer or two, barrel-aged specimens and cask-conditioned choices. There are also several guest beers and ciders on tap, and a full bar. Town Hall beers can be purchased in growlers and half-growlers for takeaway.
Food menu is gastropub, with good local and (perhaps Cedar-Riverside-inspired) ethnic choices. There is a children’s menu.
There is (rarely) street parking, but pay lots and a garage are nearby.

Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery is located in the West Bank, Seven Corners neighborhood of Minneapolis. I attended the University of Minnesota years ago, but I wasn't into craft beers then, so I didn't visit Town Hall until this past weekend. I live in California and only been back to Minnesota a few times, so it was a treat when I had time to visit.
It's a nice, old-school tavern type atmosphere. Dark wood. They had seating outside. The server was friendly and welcoming. They had an extensive tap list.
For a long time, I've known about Masala Mama IPA. It was a nice IPA. I'm glad I visited. I'd like to come back when I'm in Minneapolis again. I also wanted to visit Surly on the same day, so I only had a pint here.
Until next time.

Little late for lunch so got an appetizer of poutine. Solid but light on the cheese curds. Service was very good but it was very quiet. Would be a great place to visit for beers when it is busy though.

toped here on a Wednesday. Got a flight of the flagship beers; the Masala Mama did not disappoint as it harkened back to what the craft movement was about 15 years ago. Really nice venue with decent pub grub and a great selection of their own beers plus a few guest taps.

This brewpub is one of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen. Old, but well kept up. They hold a solid amount of events, and their selection is always large and changing. Their food is quite tasty, upscale bar food at a typical price.Their beer is actually some of the best in Minneapolis. Their flagships and barrel aged beers are pretty great, but I have had some duds. Overall, this is a solid place to stop by.

Unassuming exterior with a dark (almost gloomy) interior and an old-school bar, but the selection was everything I hoped for. Got to check off a few beers from my Minneapolis beercation wish list. I'd gladly return next time I'm in the area.

Fantastic brewpub, a must stop for out-of-towners. They redid their interior in spring of '14, but it still has a classic Minneapolis bar aesthetic, with lots of stained glass and intricate fixtures. Service is usually awesome, a good chunk of their staff has been here forever and is as well-humored as they come.
Selection is great: the standard year-rounders (such as the fabled Masala), seasonals are usually to style and delicious, and now they always have at least one BA offering on draft! Not to mention their well curated selection of guest taps, and a ton of ciders (and a great whiskey list, I will admit).
The food is nothing to write home about; while it's still above average pub fare, this is a foodie town after all and there are much better options nearby.
We've been to some poorly run events of theirs, and parking for free/cheap isn't too easy here, but I still always recommend this place to newcomers.

Probably the best beer I've ever had in Minneapolis proper.
A rather standard looking venue that could pass for just about any place, townhall clocks are a common motive. Love the neat looking taphandles.
Service is relatively straightforward, with a menu that's slightly a little more inventive than simple burgers and fries, but not straying too far. Duck poutine anyone?
But what really sticks out are the beers. While there are many to be had, 2 of the yearly produced beers were stellar. One in particular Black H20 was one of the most amazing Oatmeal stouts I've had in years. Project 3106 was also an exceptional piece of work.
Still think about the beers I had at this place and wishing I could go back.

Pretty good vibe, though it was fairly empty when we went. I like the bar area, but didn't venture into the dining part. Didn't have any food, so I gave it a 4. Very quick service and a good selection on tap, including seasonals and cask conditioned offerings. Would definitely return for some more masala mama!

Pub, old school, lots of pub style food selections. Affordable prices.
They brew pretty good beer. Masala Mama, etc. are worthy of their high ratings. They offer flights, the staff does a good job. Good wings, good burgers, not gourmet, but worth a try.
