The color is interesting, barely any red tones with a light brown base showing some orange hues with complete transparency. The head almost makes a fizzing sound, much like pouring a soda, as the half finger of head that does rise pretty quickly falls to a thin foam. Little lacing remains.
This beer leans toward nondescript. There's a malty sweetness to it with some nutty notes and a certain steeliness ending with a bit of spent grains and not a whole lot else. Hops are mild but lend some grassiness and a hint of herbal leaf.
The feel is light, fairly bland but a little too spritzy, with a body that doesn't hold particularly well. All in all it does alright, staying crisp once the fizz dies down and ending dry.
There are plenty of good Irish reds out there. This one isn't bad.

Maggie's Irish is a nice drinkable amber ale. It poured a clear amber with no head and no lace. The scent is common to most ambers slight bready with tinge of sweetness. The taste is evenly balanced with decent sweet malt base. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its quite nice.

Nitro.

16 oz nitro draft pour into a clean pint glass floats a .5 inch tan head over a light caramel colored beer. The head perseveres throughout with lacing.
A slight flowery aroma with citrus notes, this beer has a full mouthfeel without being too heavy, however it lacks flavor. Maybe the nitro is overpowering. I want to like it. It looks, feels, and smells like a great beer...and that is where it ends.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This Irish ale pours a red tinged amber color with a modest head of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin layer, and light lacing. Nose of the usual suspects, caramel malts, toasted light breaded malts, and subtle hops awash in light brown sugars. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with caramel malts and brown sugar notes with moderate amounts of breaded malts on all sides and finish sweet with a light grassy hop note. Decent mouth feel, lightly creamy and crisp with nice balance. A solid offering but not overly stand out.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a copper/amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of bready malts, some caramel. Taste is bready malts, hops are present, easy drinking. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

12 oz...bottled 1-6-16

Look...not very red, looks more like a pale ale

Smell...hazelnut and maple syrup. Smell is outstanding, but unexpected in this style.

Taste...nutty, biscuit, very good.

Mouth...minimal carbonation, dry, but not overly dry, lets the flavors come through

Overall..this was the last beer in a mix a six. I like Irish ales and had never seen this one before. My expectations were not very high, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure it's to style, but it's a damn good beer. I really enjoyed it and will be going back for a 6 pack. Conway's is my favorite, but this is very close, albeit a very different beer. Every once in awhile you get a beer that is very different than your expectations and that's what makes trying fun.

Pours a clear copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, caramel malt, hint of earthy malt, hint of tea, hint of spicy hop, hint of vanilla, and slight pale malt. Fits the style of an Irish Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, sweet malt, slight caramel malt, hint of spicy hops, hint of tea, and a hint of vanilla. Overall, decent appearance, good aroma, body, and blend.
