Amber color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet malt and slight booze with earthy hops on top. Taste starts with caramel malt and earthy, resiny hops. Finish is quite hot with medium to high bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation. Overall it's a quite tasty DIPA. The only thing that bothers me is the alcohol intensity.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a bronze/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of mango, oranges. Taste is resin, considerable bitterness, some light notes of citrus and mango. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but the flavors aren't meshing together like they should.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 oz bottle on October 14, 2016. Ale brewed with fresh mango, orange, lemon and lime. Really dank hop flavor if you like that kind of thing. Pretty smooth for 8% abv if you can handle the dankness.

I am nearing the end of my Saugatuck B.C. excursion as a part of the Chez Woody Bottle Backlog eradication, but not the end of the eradication, sadly.

From the bottle: "Illustrated by @CrocodilesOutLate"; "Ale brewed with fresh mango, orange, lemon and lime."

Having Pop!ped the cap, I commenced a gentle pour since it is early & I did not feel like dealing with any potential mess. A vigorous in-glass swirl raised two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, tawny head that left a load of sticky lacing behind when it fell. Color was a slightly hazy Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17). Nose was redolent with tropical and citrus fruit as well as underlain with caramel malt. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was a fruit salad and I respectfully disagree with my friend, tone77, on this point. The flavors meshed together really well, but to the point that I could not distinguish one from another, despite a hint on the label! The caramel of the malt took off any bitter edge that the citrus may have contributed and made it dangerously easy to drink at 8.0% ABV. I tried rolling it around on my tongue, allowing it to warm in my mouth, but to no avail. I got a bit more of a citrus bite as a result, but nothing that I could parse as a particular fruit. Finish was semi-dry with the malt keeping all of the fruit in check. I find myself rather impressed by this brewery's offerings.

Pours a clear, dark copper color. 3/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of alcohol, strong pungent hops, caramel malt, slight sweet malt, slight citrus, and yeast. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pungent hops, hint of piney hops, sweet malt, caramel malt, hint of yeast, and alcohol. Overall, good appearance, but only average aroma, body, and blend.

This is a clear amber colored brew, capped with a creamy off-white head. The aroma is a nice mix of full malt and floral hops..a hint of fruit and spice as well. The taste is balanced, with some serious malt flavor and a solid bitterness that runs throughout the beer. Full in body and very drinkable. Not bad.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/14/2016. Pours lightly hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, mango, peach, passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange peel, light pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops, mango/citrus fruit, and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, mango, peach, passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, mango, peach, passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange peel, pine, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops, mango/citrus fruit, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through thew glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice fruited DIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops, mango/citrus fruit, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
