Enjoyed from the growler via Country Fresh Farm market in Beechmont. This nice wheat wine pours a luminous reddish brown with a nice head of off white foam that settles to a thin ring, thin layer, and nice lacing. Nose of brown sugars, plums, strong booze, and subtle hops. Flavors follow the nose with nice sweet wheat and dark brown sugars on the front and middle of the taste with a dose of plum brandy that catches from the middle to back. Finish is lightly herbal hopped and balanced helping cut through the sweetness without being overpowering. Smooth, lightly carbonated, and HIGHLY quaffable for such a high ABV with a sweet, warming, full finish. Very substantial.
Nice!

Enjoyed in a fluted pint glass on tap 11/18/2015
Look - Brown with a hint of orange. Finger of light tan head. Good lacing. Murky.
Smell - Brown sugar. Molasses. Plum. Booze.
Taste - Brown sugar and molasses. Plum. Raisin. Faint hop but much more hop.
Feel - Goes down smooth and sits well. Little burn.
Overall - I need to buy a Big Bertha driver. This is a hoppy, smooth barley wine.
