This beer was intended and brewed to be a wild ale and a sour. It even says sour on the wonderful artsy label. However this is absolutely nothing sour about it. There is nothing about it characteristic of a wild ale. It is an innocuous "beer" that could well be a Coors or Bud. Nothing particularly bad about it, just nothing noteable or good about it. Orange in color with little head and an innocuous light yeast nose of no special profile. Mouthfeel was decent but without any particular flavor profile either. There was no sour; no complexity; no barrel character at all despite supposedly being aged in wood. This one is pretty much nondescript.

Aged for 28 months in Heaven Hill barrels and bottle conditioned for a bit after that. Poured from a 750ml bottle. This one was a hazy light orange and had a nice dry tartness. It was just screaming to be fruited. By far the best label art they have done to date.
