Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on March 21, 2018. Canned MAR 09 18. Light in body with an appealing color. Smell is pineapple, mango and grapefruit. Taste is citrus and ripe melon from dry hopping with Mosaic, Hallertau Melon and Citro hops. This beer is rounded off with oats, pale barley and wheat for a crisp, smooth finish.

On tap.

A - Medium gold pour with a creamy white frothy head, nice carbonation.

S - Light tropical juicy fruit nose with delicate crisp malt undertones.

T - Starts with a citrus malt balance that almost cancels each other out. Midway through the citrus gains momentum and gets peppery spicy, then ends with a peppery citrus rind that pounds the palate.

M - Big medium body and thick for a pale ale. Dry finish and leaves a citrusy resin aftertaste in the mouth.

O - Thick for a pale ale. Maybe a lighter body would lend itself to a crisper and sharper finish for this one? Finishes a little too frothy for a pale but I like the citrus spicy build at the end.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/19/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus zest/peel, light pepper/pine, wheat, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus zest/peel, light pepper, pine, wheat, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus zest/peel, pepper, pine, wheat, bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, fairly crisp, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a delicious American pale ale! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Great balance of juicy and dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Poured out a pale golden-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of tropical fruits and sweet caramel. Nice caramel taste with very light tropical fruit flavors. A little thin mouthfeel.

"Tropical Pale Ale with bold aroma of mango, papaya and pineapple. The taste explodes with citrus and ripe melon from Mosaic, Hallertau Melon and Citra hops backed with oats, pale barley and wheat to smooth everything out with a crisp, dry finish."

"A moderate, refreshing ale with noticeable hop aroma balanced by supporting malt flavors."
