Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. Bottling date is stamped on label as '032718'.
Deep brown colored body. Half a finger of light tan head, which sticks around as creamy cap. Leaves behind some medium sized spots of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, with milk chocolate, with whiffs of strawberry and vanilla.
Taste is very similar to a melted together ice cream with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla flavors. Sweet and with no bitterness (other than the roasted malt darkness).
Fuller mouth feel, with a mouth coating sensation. Lower carbonation, but this fits with the Neapolitan ice cream feel.
Remarkably tastes like the blended ice cream. I would put this into the dessert beer category, and one of these per session is enough. Another example of what beer brewing can do to mimic a totally non-beer taste.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Bottled 3/27/18, so 5 months old.

Jet black body, small oatmeal head leaves a little lacing.

There is a pretty strong nice strawberry aroma, but little else can be detected.

What do you know, it actually tastes like a neapolitan . Strawberry and chocolate tastes are front and centre, the vanilla being more of a suggestion. Slight tartness form the strawberries balance out the sweetness,

Mouth is between medium and full, finish fruity and bittersweet.

Overall, well, if you like neapolitan ice cream, you'll like this beer. If not, give it a pass. I enjoyed it.

Like drinking chocolate. It almost has the mouthfeel of a bottled Starbucks Frappucino. A lovely thick dark appearance in the glass. Minimal bitterness. A retro-looking label, as if I bought it at a gas station on Rte. 66 in 1949. This is my first milk stout and I'd definitely try another, although I wouldn't want to drink this every day or even every week. Honestly I suspect this would pair really well with Cheerios.

Like @The-Adjunct-Hippie, I am also surprised that have not reviewed this beer prior to now. Hmm. Well, today is the ocCANsion of New Against the Saugatuck Grain Beer Sunday (Week 699), but I have finished The CANQuest (tm) phase of the Saugatuck portion of today's adventure, forcing me into the bottles until they are likewise exhausted. Oh, the shame!

From the Bottle: "Made in Michigan"; "Stout with Natural Flavors Added".

That "Natural Flavors" jazz is not really any added benefit. It's all the product of a chem lab somewhere. And on that note, I Pop!ped the cap & started a heavy-handed pour into the awaiting glass. This action produced just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, deep-tan/light-brown head with moderate retention, but it did not leave behind much in the way of lacing. Color was Black/Opaque (SRM = 44) with cola highlights only at the edges. Nose was sweet all right, but it was more chocolaty than anything else. Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was imprecise in that I could easily get chocolate and vanilla, but the strawberry was kind of lost and/or lacking in the mix. I have had it on-tap before & liked I better. I also see where there is a Bourbon-Bbl.-aged version & I would be willing to bet that it is pretty good. I was just feeling underwhelmed with this one. Finish was sweet, more chocolaty than anything else & definitely a dessert beer. YMMV.

Poured into a nonic pint glass.

The beer is the color of dark chocolate with an almost nitrogenated foamy tan head that hardly recedes at all. Lacing is random thick splotches and squiggly lines of heavy foam. The aroma has subtle hints of strawberry fruitiness but is otherwise dominated by a lot of sucrose sugar. The taste is slightly more defined as it starts out sweet and sugary, followed by a faint strawberry note. Chocolate emerges before finishing with with a sugary sweet cream flavor. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy, very smooth.

Overall, I wanted to like this a lot more, but the sugary sweetness blinded a lot of the other flavors. Still pretty unique though, definitely worth a shot, at least a single bottle like I bought.
