This was my regular "place" for a while but it seems it keeps getting more and more expensive in the beer department. The quality and selection is good: Standard local micros, Rogue, Victory, Ommegang, Samuel Smith, Dogfish Head, Anchor. All the beer is cold. Service is average, nobody really helps out with the beer. Prices are the real problem here, $8 for local micro 6ers, 22oz bottles are pricey and there are relatively few...I remember paying somewhere in the range of $14-16 for a 6 pack of Bigfoot in the past.

Good local store if you don't want to travel far from the Fall River area, but I find its worth the distance to Yankee in Attleboro or Spiritus Fermenti in Providence.

Visited on 12/29/07 for the first time. There’s a small shelving rack in the middle of the store that contains the microbrew bombers & 750ml bottles and the rest are in the coolers along the wall. The selection was very good, Avery, Great Divide, Anchor, Southern Tier, Buzzards Bay (including the limited releases that haven’t seen ANYWHERE) and a host of others. They have a “mix-a-six” promo but it’s a standard price of $7.99 per six-pack and you can only choose from a certain group of beers, most of which were macros, Sam Adams Light & malternatives. The service was friendly and helpful. The prices were completely crazy. There’s a banner on the side of the building that reads “Prices So Low You Won’t Shop Anywhere Else” (I could be off by a word or two.) I can’t see how they can have that banner up and then charge an average of 10-30% more than everyone else. Overall, the selection makes the store stopping in if I know they have something I’m looking for an no one else has it, but the prices would prevent me from going there otherwise.

I used to live in the Riv and Cardoza's was unfortunately my only choice for a selection of decent beer. I say unfortunately because the prices are insane. I agree with the other reviewers that the prices here are ridiculously high - $11.99 for a 750 of Duvell, $14.99 for a sixer of Einbecker - $8.99 for a sixer of Smuttynose? These prices are higher than any place I know of in Mass by three or four dollars. I can get the Duvell cheaper here in NYC, in Soho even. Also the selection is very inconsistent, they offer Victory Hop Devil for a few weeks, then it's gone - four varieties of Brooklyn soon become two, and then finally one. And they offer Chimay (at grossly inflated prices) but no other trappistes, and a very limited selection of other belgians. Oh but you can get Labatt Blue in six different configurations and packages, and literally thousands of wines. Staff is a bunch of high school dudes who seem to be busy making jokes with each other to help you get to the cases that are stacked too high in the walk in, and the manager will spend an hour helping you select wine, but will brush you off if you ask about when certain seasonal beers will be arriving. All in all unless you live if this city (or one of the other two cities that host this chain) there is no reason for you to waste your money, or do as others have suggested and do your shopping in RI.
