A: Blonde with a white head, good retention, great lace.
S: Hints of earth & barnyard funk up front, candied pineapple, dried mango and papaya
T: Papaya, mango, candied pineapple, wheaty biscuit, grassy, hints of earth and maybe a little Brett, good bitterness, alcohol is well hidden.
M: This all-malt brew isn't as dry as I expected, very smooth, almost creamy with a good carbonation (the cap popped like champagne and the bottle gushed).
D/O: An all around good brew, but definitely pricy at over $10 at BC Liquor.

A: The beer is a little hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thick collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of apples and biscuit malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of biscuit malts along with notes of apples.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount o carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be rather fruity compared to other bière de gardes.

love the style, love the beer, this is wonderful stuff, and especially a joy to drink after a sober month, man, this is the kind of beer i live for, complex but also understated, malty as can be but still yeast driven, well refined and even affordable, a great example of the style, even if a little bit tame as they can go sometimes. the beer is shiny medium amber in color with a light copper tone to it, an aroma of old bread and honey, and a sort of nutritional element to me. the fermentation profile is lightly vinous, cut flowers and white pepper and clove to it, but not overly spicy, just a soft ester both in aroma and flavor, pushing through the malt just enough, but leaving a pretty incredible balance in tact. it almost hits all at once, but rather a nudge than a punch, its a short flavor window but its abrupt, if that makes sense, subtle elderflower and even maple to it. a touch of oxidation, which is often the case with this sort of thing here in the states, but not enough to make this any less enjoyable than it would otherwise be. medium body, full flavor, some sweetness, neat yeast complexion, lots of bubbles but a soft feel, this is what i want and look for in the style. i wish the beers these folks make came around a little more frequently. ill buy this again.

Orange-blond, off-white foam, quite good.
Malty smell, then white flowers, white peach, and a very light honey note.
The taste start with a good malt too, then again fresh notes of peach, some pepper.
Not too dry, but very drinkable and inviting.

330ml bottle from Carrefour supermarket, Paris (€1.90):
Quite a nice beer with plenty of hop bitterness, yeast & floral touches as well as plenty of carbonation & fizz. The beer was quite a nice one without exciting too much but it was definitely one of the better bière de garde's that I've tried & I wouldn't say no to a second.

Pale yellow colour with small head and medium carbonation.
A well-balanced beer, but nothing to make it really stand out.

Bought locally in Paris, bottle.
Fairly lagerish look, lagerish head.
Aroma is malty, with some apricots. Fairly inviting. Just a bit too malty and carbon dioxidey..
Taste is reasonably complex, there are a few different layers of flavor. However it is just like so many other French beers. Malty and unexciting, though reasonably well balanced.
Totally ok beer though just not interesting or unique enough. Feels too heavy.
Not for me
