A trip to Rehoboth Beach wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Dogfish Head Brewing and Eats that said that's probably why we ended up in Rehoboth. I loved my experience overall great setup great beach atmosphere but this brewpub was world class although the beach shack decor would tell you it's just a chill place to have a beer, well it's that too. Other than the large wooden Dogfish emblems with each draft strung across the top of the bar, all of the publications DFH has been in are up on the walls on the way back to the bathroom. This really shouts out what a mainstream crossover DFH has been able to market through both the face of Sam Calagione and the extremity of the beers. Maxim and Playboy mags, along with every beer mag or newspaper across the board some one's mommy loves them and knows how to keep a good track of their successes. I went during the 3-6 pm happy hour on a Monday which was perfect for two reasons one they had 90 minute run through Randall the Enamel Animal and two they just tapped a brewpub exclusive Palo Santo Marron which utilizes holy wood from Paraguay for aging effects that's awesome. Service at the bar was dead on although vibe was very relaxed and slow this particular Monday a few people having late lunch early dinners but for the most part regulars who work in the area were here and that's where my conversation was focused. The batender was a younger guy I believe his name was Wes and via the website I see he's been working at this place for ten years, wow. Draft selection awesome they had Aprihop, Festina Peche, Palo Santo, 60 and Randallized 90 minute, Shelter Pale, Raison D'etre and D'extra, Lawnmower Light, and India Brown as well. Bottle selection I was a bit underimpressed, all they had was WWS not Red & White or Black & Blue left. Actually during my whole trip and every liquor store stop nobody had any of the big DFH bottles or special seasonal releases this was a bit of a let down that I could handle, considering I can get them all in Pittsburgh. I drank my lunch money so no food thoughts although those wood fired pizzas looked tasty. Food seemed a bit pricey and comparable to the rest of Rehoboth Ave dining places but during happy hour I had about four drafts all a dollar off so I made it out okay. Great time met a guy who worked at the local record shop that I had been eyeing up since I got to our hotel so I stopped in their the next day to shoot the shit and check out the selection.

Got there at around 4:45pm on a Saturday in the middle of the summer. It was crowded when we arrived but no wait yet. Our party was 4 adults + 2 toddlers and we got seated immediately in the main dining area. Very casual, laid back vibe inside that fit the beach town surroundings. Our servers were friendly, despite clearly being very busy, but handled our food and drink orders promptly. Lots of "off-centered" offerings on-tap, but I decided to go with the Shelter Pale Ale, currently only available on draft in Delaware. It was fresh and tasty and made for a great accompaniment to the wings, pretzel bites, and fried pickles we shared at the table. The food was good but nothing mind-blowing. Overall, an enjoyable stop for some apps and drinks. I'd like to return sometime at night when they get live bands to play.

Went back in May. Had a phenomenal time! Service was excellent, the people were awesome, the food was great, and there were a good amount of beers to choose from, including plenty of experimental brews. Can't wait to go back!

Service was fantastic. Very crowded on a Saturday night but the bartender was always there.

Food is pretty good, beer selection is great.

They seem to always have a few taproom only things (stuff that isn't bottled normally)... but most of that has be had there... very little of the brewpub only stuff is available for growlering.

It can get very crowded, especially on the weekends, but the people were all nice.

Staff was very helpful with recommendations, and very friendly.

Nicely pairs food with beers. They always have a great selection of beers. Check out their secret stash for awesome vintage beers. They have a stand right out front with great swag.

Took the whole family here on a sunny, summer weekday for lunch. We arrived a few minutes before their noon opening and there was already a crowd of about 30 or 40 people waiting to get in. It was a surprising mix of young and old, singles and families, and I was relieved I wasn't the only one that had a couple kids in tow.

We were seated off to the side near the front window of the brewpub. The server arrived and she was very pleasant and helpful and did not seemed fazed at all by my two young children. I'm a 20+ year vet of the restaurant business and I know a lot of people are divided on dining with children. I personally try to avoid it at all costs, because I like to actually relax and enjoy my meal, as do those around me. However, we were on a family vacation and this was Dad's day.

My kids seemed happy with the choices on the kid's menu and my daughter was thrilled to upgrade to her own "special drink" (Dogfish Beach/Root Beer) just like Daddy. The kids were digging it which eased my anxiety and let me relax so I could enjoy some of the fine liquid offerings.

I'll start with the food. As someone who can be overly critical of menu offerings, I'll keep it as brief as possible. The food was good, but not great. The menu selections were interesting, and certainly elevated beyond your normal bar food offerings. I appreciated some of the creativity of their culinary team, like the Spent Grain Pretzels and Duck Poutine. Some of the other dishes fell flat, most notably, the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. The waffles substituting the bread were limp. The chicken, which had a decent breading was dry under it's crust. It seemed like it could have benefited from some serious brining. The dipping sauce was a Sriracha Maple Syrup, but it felt lacking in both the Sriracha and the Maple departments. I loved the idea but the execution was off. My recommendation would be to stick with the appetizer portion of their menu, and share some snacks with your table while you enjoy the wonderful selection of beers.

And now, the beers... I was so happy that I had arrived on this day. They had just tapped 120 Minute a few days before and the Brewpub Exclusives were ones that I had heard of in the Dogfish lore. Notably, they were serving Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast. They allow you to order four samples in each beer flight in any combination of beers that they have on tap. I started out with Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast, coupled with 75 Minute Cask and upon the server's recommendation, Palo Ahumado. Each beer was unique and delicious in it's own right. I won't go into detail on each one, but whether you love or hate the results, you have to admire Dogfish' ingenuity and spirit of experimentation. I followed it up with another flight, repeating the Palo Ahumado and Choc Lobster (they were that good) and paired them with Palo Santo Maron and some 120 for dessert.

Well done, Dogfish. They've managed to create a comfortable vibe for everyone with good service, decent food, and outstanding beverages. I hope to make it back there soon.

I went here after going on a tour at their Milton facility, so it was a bit of a Dogfish head day. Knowing already how much I love their beer, I figured it would be enjoyable to have a good meal from their brewpub. Honestly, I could just go on and on about how fantastic the food alone was. My girlfriend ordered something particularly amazing, which was their meatloaf sandwich that utilized their chicory stout for the gravy. It just so happened I ordered the same beer to go with my burger, and the combination with both meals was outstanding. I can say though, despite how much I love that brew, there wasn't much going on with beer menu. Some rarities, but nothing particularly chase that you would feel the NEED to come here. Still fantastic food, solid selection of year round favorites and minor rarities, and friendly unintrusive service. I honestly know I will go back for the food alone.

There is an incredible vibe in this place, what with the obviously good beer. The food was good, and one can try some of the beers that are served exclusive only in this brewpub. Highly recommended!

Visited for lunch after a sunny day stroll on the boardwalk. Our party of 8 was quickly seated (it was so crowded, I think we just lucked out) and service was great for a mobbed pub. I had a randalled Namaste; forgot the additions, but it was pleasant, the normal Namaste wit with a light fruit flavor, slightly spicy. It went well with my crab cakes which were great. The food was slightly upscale pub fare, but nicely prepared and presented. Everyone was happy with their food with the only complaint was that the falafel was a bit dry and uninteresting. The burgers were big and well received. Namaste was the big hit for most people, although a few had the PAM pale lager which got good reviews. Overall a great experience, food, beer and atmosphere, especially for a busy, crowded summer day. I'm on the opposite coast, but I'd come back here in a heartbeat. My only disappointment was that most of the beer on the menu was the same as bottled and available at home. I somehow missed the PAM on the menu, which would have been a new one for me. On the other hand, I totally enjoyed my randalled Namaste so all was well. We filled two growlers to take home.
