Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Slightly hazy medium to light golden pour. 1.5 fingers of foamy white head... decent lacing.

S: Light and citrusy. Lemon zest and tangerine.

T/F: Light malts and grains. Strong citrusy hop profile... lemongrass, thyme, and orange rind. A little spicy. Mild sweetness to go with the bitter. Relatively light in body... refreshing. Finish is sticky citrus.

O: A nice light summer IPA. Great citrus notes... refreshing and easily drinkable. Overall tasty.

This was poured into a tulip because of the "Belgian twist" on the style. The appearance was a glossy orange to hazy yellow. A decent transparency allows some floaties to be shown roaming throughout the body. The smell takes the big burst of clementine and balances it with a slight coriander. Refreshing lemon also plays a nice backup as well. The taste is balanced from the spice to the sweet and builds up a decent little kick of citrus in the finish. There’s no aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation is fulfilling as an AIPA and balances decently to the Belgian side of the spicy build-up. Adequate harshness with a wet refreshing glance over my tongue. Overall, what a nice crisp refreshing take on an AIPA to brighten to a slight Belgian style.

A little too much Belgian for the diminished overall profile. Not terrible, but it was like they didn't want to actually go for it, so you get an ipa with a hint if Belgian spice

Looks ok, slightly hazy and light in color. Scent is slightly citrus with slight Belgian yeast in there too. Flavor is weak citrus with some malt and mild bitterness in the finish. Decent flavored but almost too gentle. I'm not getting the Belgian flavors not that I mind as I like an IPA flavor profile anyway. Good carbonation and medium in mouthfeel. Overall, I could pound these. Pretty good.

From June 2015
A: Pours a golden straw color with a thin head; lots of floaters
S: Lots of citrus and coriander, but not much more
T: Follows the nose with some floral hop at the end. Was hoping for more flavor based on the description.
M: Medium carbonation, thin / light feel
O: Not something I would buy again

Picked up a single from TW Arrowhead in late July for $1.99. Bottled on 04/07/16. Been in the beer fridge since purchase.

Beer poured golden orange with a decent white head.

Nose is slightly orange with some Belgian yeast esters.

Taste is orange forward with some coriander and pepper over a wheat base. Finish is slightly hoppy.

Feel is light and refreshing.

Overall a nice summer brew that is worthy of a shot!

S - Aroma is definitely coriander.
T - The flavor is orange, pepper, and the coriander adds a nice twist to this beer.
M - Medium mouth feel and carbonation.
O - This is a nice refreshing summer beer.

A- quite clear pale yellow color with minimal head and no lacing.

S- orange citrus, hints of pepper and belgian yeast. another spice as well....coriander?

F- peppery orange citrus with the yeast on the back end.

M- creamy for an IPA and coriander spices coat the mouth.

O- a nice White IPA. I was happy with it and it was fairly smooth.

On tap

A- a translucent pale yellow with minimal head of foam. Light and inviting
S- light hay, grass, and Belgian yeast scent. Not enough barnyard funk to get excited about
T- very strong yeast presence with minimal flavor. Some grass scents
M- good carbonation and flavor feels right
O- light Belgian IPA. Seeks drink ability and that's ok.

12 oz bottle.

Deep gold color and clear with a fluffy white head. Good retention and some sparse lacing. Aroma is overwhelmingly coriander with a hint of orange citrus. Flavor is heavy on the coriander, which I like as a spice, but I'm not crazy about in this particular beer. It dominates all of the malt and hops. Bitter, spicy finish.

Overall, this beer was very one-note and just not my cup of tea.

Interesting beer. The smell is yeasty Belgian and spice with barely any citrus/orange. The taste is crisp with noticeable spice and a dry bitter finish. I expected both more orange flavor and more hops presence. Overall the flavor is just a bit odd. nb

Pours a ultra-filtered, golden-orange color with 1/2 a finger of quickly dissipating head.

Aroma is of wet wheat, corn, malt, and some generic citrus.

Taste reminds me of a poorly created mix of a wheat beer and a pale ale. Sure it is a low ABV, but it's so non-descript and almost off in flavor. Some citrus, corn, wet hay, some funk even. Mild bitterness.

Overall, this isn't something I would buy again. Too many off flavors and just not very good. I see it pairing well with a seafood stew. It gets a 72/100.

Bottled 04/07/16

L- The beer pours a clear golden with a frothy 3 finger white head. No floaties as have been noted in previous iterations. Lacing is excellent with islands all around the glass. The head recedes to a thin film at the edges with a large thick central island.
S-Belgian yeast esters blend with a sweetness from the added clementine. Over that is the hop aroma, which when combined with the clementine and belgian yeast, lend the beer an almost perfumy quality.
T- Taste follows the nose. With the combination of hop, clementine, and yeast having an almost perfumy quality. I can appreciate that in the nose, but find it less appealing in the taste.
F- The beer is well carbonated, but not overly so. The mouthfeel is fairly light. The beer is intended for summer sipping, and the mouthfeel is appropriate for this.
O- As a seasonal beer this beer meets the brewers intent nicely. If you like the perfumy characteristics imparted by Belgian yeast mixed with american hops than you will enjoy this. For my own palate however, I would recommend Steampipe over this particular beer in terms of summer quencher.

I wanted this to be good just like a girl I just met but alas not so much. I put this in the disappointment bin along with many other run-of-the-mill ipas. There are certainly better choices.

12 oz bottle

Pours near clear, lighter near golden amber, but with a load of floaties doing their thing. Spotty off white head, leaves some low lacing as well as some fine lacing sheets ...too many particles floating for my tastes.

Belgian yeasty sniff, along with lemons, and ripe fruits

Tasty enough with more yeastyness, and Belgian qualities, bubblegum, fruit, lime and wheaty malts...lighter body wise, and fairly refreshing and tasty...nothing amazing, but a worthy warm weather quaffer

Poured from a 12oz can into a tulip glass at Ogies Trailer Park in Providence:

Appearance: slightly hazy, but only a little bit. Some sediment kicking around in there....body is a golden Amber color, with a nice, white head that dissipates after a minute or so.

Aroma: lots of yeastiness, and quite a bit of malt. I got a little bit of spice, maybe some coriander and some lemon zest. Overall, though, the scent is pretty muted.

Taste: I didn't get much, if any of the clementine advertised on the label. Sure, I did get a fair amount of spice and quite a bit of clover-y yeast, but as a whole, the beer was a little on the bland side. I suppose that goes with pretty much anything that carries the label "summer sipper."

Feel: medium-bodied and nicely crisp. Leaves some sticky-sweet bitterness on the palate post-sip.

Overall: I'd drink it given a lack of other options, but it was honestly a pretty mediocre beer start to finish.

12oz can in a stemmed tulip glass.

Pours a hazy golden orange color, lots of sediment and abundant carbonation. The 1-plus finger white head hangs on and becomes a film the leaves web lacing.

Yeast, spice, citrus. Some malts. There's a sticky sweetness to the citrus smell.

Funky yeast, wheat, orange citrus flavor. Some spices, a bit peppery.

Highly carbonated, tingly feel. Medium body thanks to a nice balance of hops and malts. Tart.

Definitely a while ale, not a phony.

From 08/20/15 notes. 12 oz. pour down the shore in Asbury Park, NJ; served in a mason jar.

Pours a hazy orangish-yellow color with one finger of white head and moderate carbonation evident.
Oranges wheat, grains, spice, bready malts, yeast, and light metallic notes in the nose. Light body and low carbonation, easy to drink.

Overall a decent beer, though there was something in the nose that wasn't great. Easy to drink and refreshing, good in a pinch.

There is not a lot I felt needed improvement with this delicious, refreshing take on a Belgian IPA. Nice characteristics throughout and a smooth drinking mouthfeel. The yeast was mellow in imparting a Belgian flair but otherwise just a great summer quencher!

12oz bottle into a shaker pint.

A: Pours a clear copper with 3/4" fizzy-ish white head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Retention is fairly poor, lacing is quite poor.

S: Orange peel! Lots of it, with a mild bready malt undertone. I'm detecting warm ginger notes lurking beneath along with hints of honey.

T: Comes on with strong orange notes wrapped in yeast. The mid palate is spicier with more subtle ginger & maybe a trace of cinnamon as well. Hop-bitterness increases towards the finish witch is more orange rind & a touch of spice.

M: Moderate carb married to a somewhat sticky, light body. Finishes heavier than expected.

O: Quite nice, especially if you like orange.

12 oz can (hurrah!) into Belgian glass.

Not bad, but doesn't know what it wants to be. It's part IPA and part wibier.

Refreshing, but lackluster balance due to lack of identity.

Might have been smarter to drop the ABV down into session area. I don't know. You catch some alcohol burn along with the hops on the finish, and that shouldn't happen at 5.5%.

330 cl bottle in a snifter
A: pours a hazy, cloudy, straw gold, little to no head
S: Wheat and citrus notes a little bit of banana
T: pronounced (though not powerful) hop bitterness (a little pine and citrus) marries with the tartness of the wheat
M: clean, crisp and sharp
O: a good beer but nothing especially impressive about it, if this were my local beer I'd definitely get it from time to time on draft but probably not in the bottle ever.
