Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy golden orange color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a moderate level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is massive of a yeasty and grassy smell, giving it a very Belgian like aroma. Mixed with the yeast and grass, are lots of spice smells of coriander and clove along with some more hay like and orange citrus smells. Some other light aromas of a musty smell are there as well, but these actually are quite nice with the grass, hay, and yeast, and end up producing a rather crisp Belgian white smell overall.

Taste – The taste begins with a lighter fruit flavor of a citrus nature mixed with lots of yeasty and spice tastes of coriander, and clove. Some grassy and grapefruit hop flavors are present from the start adding a nice bite of hop to the taste. As the taste advances, the sweeter citrus (which is largely of a tangerine nature) begins to fade with some other flavors of a more grainy and hay flavor replacing them. A light lemongrass flavor also comes to the tongue during this time and is accompanied by some flavors of herbal hop nature, mixing with the flavors that are left to produce a rather crisp, yeasty, and nicely spiced hop flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average, to maybe just thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. Both are great for creating a crisp feel, which matches the blend of moderate hop, citrus, and yeasty spice, producing a rather refreshing feel overall.

Overall – A rather refreshing and crisp Belgian IPA. This will be a nice summer style brew to sip at a BBQ.

In a pint glass the beer was a hazy gold color with a nice white head that left a good amount of lace.

Citrus and spice in the aroma.

Lots of orange taste. Some coriander.

Very nice, easy-drinking beer.

I really don't like this beer. Similar to Allagash to me in that it tastes... rubbery... or something. Like a black licorice taste. Can't quite put my finger on it. But I don't like it.

12 oz bottle

Pours near clear, lighter near golden amber, but with a load of floaties doing their thing. Spotty off white head, leaves some low lacing as well as some fine lacing sheets ...too many particles floating for my tastes.

Belgian yeasty sniff, along with lemons, and ripe fruits

Tasty enough with more yeastyness, and Belgian qualities, bubblegum, fruit, lime and wheaty malts...lighter body wise, and fairly refreshing and tasty...nothing amazing, but a worthy warm weather quaffer

Served on tap in a pint glass.

Appearance: Yellow with a very thin white head.

Smell: Surprisingly not much for any scents.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light to medium bodied. Taste of cloves, hops, and light citrus.

Overall: Not bad, refreshing beer. But not my first choice.
