In celebration of Bavarian tradition, we brew Otter Creek Oktoberfest with German Hallertau and Tettnang hops to balance its slightly sweet malt flavor. Brewed to enjoy on a crisp autumn day, Oktoberfest has a deep golden hue that is a perfect match for the beautiful fall foliage of Vermont.

Replaced the Oktoberfest Ale in 2012.

12oz bottle into a snifter. The brew appears a clear copper color with an off-white head that retains well leaving spotty lace as it fades.

The smell includes notes of caramel and toffee malt. Sweet yet fruity and floral with a touch of alcohol. The balance between hops, malt and alcohol is well done.

The taste is fruity and floral from hops but also a bit of fruity alcohol is evident overtop caramel/toffee malt sweetness. A touch of buttery diacetyl comes out once it warms up.

This is a medium body with a modest amount of carbonation. It is crisp and easy drinking. Worth a try but nothing over the top exciting here.

P- Wegmans in Mechanicsburg

A- light orange fall color. Minimal head and lacks the lacing I like.

S- bready raisin nose but comes out very light in aroma. Maybe a musty pepper smell as well.

F- breaded raisin malts. Not much else maybe the pepper but it is faint.

M- light bodied vinegar malt.

O- Not bad but not good. an average Oktoberfest and worth trying but not worth buying a sixer.
