A hazy, dark orange color. Minimal head.
Citrus aroma. Some floral notes. A hint of caramel malt.
Big taste. Grapefruit and more grapefruit. Some light pine. Caramel as an afterthought.
Very hop forward. Delightful beer.

The beer has a hazy dark orange color. The aroma is mostly muted with hints of malt and tropical fruits. The taste is sweet up front, followed by citrus, big herbal notes, and piney bitterness. Would have liked to have it fresher but not bad.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking burnt/bronzed orange color with a slim finger-ed white lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell started off with a sweet onion bursting into some light grapefruit and a sweet freshly cut grass blending to invade and agitate my nose in a nice way. A graceful amount of malts make an effort to balance but honestly, they do a good job to stay in the background.
The taste was moderately bitter with an ample amount of sweet citrus to slide into the aftertaste and then glide into the finish.
The mouthfeel was about a light to medium on the body with a purely graceful burst of bitter hops to glide along my tongue in streams of bliss. Still a nice set of bitter IBU's kicking at my tongue just the way I want it for a DIPA.
Overall, this was my last bottle and you know what, yeah, so awesome, looking forward to next year's batch.

pretty solid IIPA. Mix of East and West Coast-

Look is a slightly hazy orange- smell is fresh cut grass, herbs and citrus..

taste is a slightly bitter but tons of fresh hops flavor.. could be a little thicker in mouthfeel but a solid beer all the way around..

Pours a hazy golden/amber color with nice head. Aroma of tropical fruit, caramel and pine. Smells great. Flavor is almost identical to aroma, not super complex but very solid and balanced with a touch more crystal malt than some of its New England cousins. Mouthfeel is lightest end of medium-light and perfect amout of carbonation to let the malt shine through with the hops. Great beer, I thoroughly enjoyed.

12oz bottle in a tulip glass.

It's a hazy orange color with very active small-bubble carbonation and it has a bit of sediment. The 2F tinted white head drops to a heavy film and never leaves, web lacing, durable. That look alone may not rate a 5, but I am partial to the name "Double Dose", so a 5 it is.

Initially sweet from the open bottle but the pour tempers that notion. It remains slightly candied, like the smell of Jolly Rancher candy. There are tropical fruits, citrus, orange zest, and some alcohol as it warms.

More fruits, tropical, grapefruit and more orange. Slight pine and alcohol. Sturdy malt taste.

Full and silky smooth feel. Good carbonation action. Hop zing, not bitter. Some alcohol. Strong citrus hop finish.

Overall I like it and I'm glad to have found it fresh here in Jersey. I'd guess that any hop fade would detract greatly from the beer.

pours a brilliant orange color with a three finger head into a large tulip glass. Smells of orange citrus and fresh grasses on the nose. This is a wonderful citrus explosion upon tasting the beer. Clean and wonderful. Feel is smooth and easy to drink. Outstanding beer.

This beer does not live up to the hype.

Aroma is nice and balanced, but unfortunately that is where the balance ends.

This is a very dry DIPA (which I like), but there is a fusel alcohol hotness and the hops do not stand out on their own other that the initial bitterness.

A bit grassy on the finish. Just seems like something is off. Either too warm on fermentation, PH issues, just something seems off.

Hate to say it, but I poured out half way through.

Cloudy orange in that New England IPA kind of way. Nice fluffy orange tinted head that leaves gobs of lacing. Slightly dank scent. Pine and grapefruit at more at the forefront. Slightly sweet alcohol scent.

Flavor begins with a piney bitterness. Progresses to a blossoming citrus flavor that turns into sweet orange peel. Really nice, but a linger slightly acrid bitterness gives a mildly negative impression. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated.

Good beer, but I enjoyed Lawson's solo efforts more.

Bright lemon and hop nose, nice amount of piney aroma. I want an air freshener like this.

Taste is piney and resinous with a less pronounced lemon/citrus character than in the nose, but still present. Satisfying hop bite. No overpowering malts.

Medium body. Lower carbonation than expected.

Overall a delicious brew. What a nice surprise to find on the menu.

I was kinda let down by this beer. The nose is okay, super dank and piney, and the taste is quite similar. Just a bunch of pine and dank hops with a very bitter finish. Nothing really special though. If your looking for a dank beer , this will do just fine.

Great beer; top notch. Near perfect balance; great play between the malts and hops, with a memorable finish. Unfortunately, the limited availability and hype perpetuate out of control price gouging by package store owners. Some places were looking at $28 for a 12-pack. OC and Lawson's should get a handle on this, because it's a beautiful beer.

Great tropical aroma but the taste doesn't follow. A lot of hoppiness that follows in the after taste. Good dipa but definitely not worth the price or the hype.

Absolutely Brewtiful! Lived this beer, although eighteen dollars a four pack is obscene. In any csse, exceptional beer, does not at all taste like a DIPA

I was rather disappointed with this beer. I was excited to check out a Lawson's blend, maybe the otter creek guys ruined it. I don't know
Pour - nice orangey haze with a white head
Smell - orange, pine
Taste - hops, piney, citrus
Overall - I don't know what exactly I was tasting, but it wasn't anything special. it almost tasted like a SOS mixed with a lager

Bottled a month ago, served in a spiegelau ipa glass.

A: golden orange, fluffy white head.

S: orange marmalade, pine, lemon biscuit. Little mint.

T: deep resiny orange. Pine, lemon. Sweet malts. Citrus rind. Little earthy.

M: creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Dry finish. Good carb level.

O: damn good. Great blend of hops used. Great mouthfeel. Price is steep, but would probably buy it again.

Appearance: Pours cloudy with a honey color and capped impressively; excellent retention and a curtain of lacing lingers

Smell: Tropical aromatics waft; slightly dank with a hint of toffee

Taste: Toffee malt lays down the base, with the hops quickly taking over, tropical and dank, up front, but the finish is astringent; aspirin-like in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: I was expecting something quite different and am having a hard time understanding the hype machine here; maybe it is this year's batch but the beguiling hop profile I was hoping for is not apparent in this beer

Pours a hazy amber, two fingers of lacy foam. Clearly unfiltered (pun intended). The smell is herbal and bready if a bit funky. Hop flavors on the first sip are much more resinous and piney than floral and citrus. Malt content is in check throughout, in fact there's a dry yeasty flavor that creeps in before a moderately bitter and smooth finish takes over. The feel of this beer is thick and full. It actually reminds me of a Belgian triple in that regard, as does the carbonation. I wasn't surprised to see it said 8.5% on the label, it's not overly hot but you get a sense of its potency. A fun collaboration, maybe not as refined as the individual breweries' usually great stuff, which of course is just the nature of the beast. I recommend to fans of big beers!

Awesome color... Orangey translucent with a respectable head. Smell isn't very strong; hard to pick up on anything of significance. The hoppy flavor I was hoping for is muddled by the booziness of it. All in all, good, but not worth the hassle trying to attain. $4 for a 12 ounce beer would be better spent on Tree House or Trillium.

An extremely interesting beer I feel is far better than much higher rated sip of sunshine. Golden orange in color with light tan head and an incredible aromatic smell. Dank with a marijuana smell with light tropical fruit underneath. Taste changed as beer warmed and taste buds adjusted, initially I did not love this beer, but after 10 minutes I became a big time fan of this beer. Mouthful perfect for this style. Taste lingers on toungue for long time. Strong IPA that is not for everyone , but it a nice change from the citrus/fruit bombs that are all the rage now.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped 09/15 it appears. Sampled on October 9, 2015.

Amber-orange pour with a haze and off-white head that leaves lacing and fades.

Big aroma of grapefruit and tropical fruit.

Mostly medium body.

Big grapefruit taste with bitter finish. It is another one of those super hopped up beers from Vermont that everyone wants to drink.

Pours amber brown with a one finger head. Smells herbal and boozy with a sweet sticky hop aroma. Taste is strong and bitter. Very hop-forward. Finish follows suit with a lot of sustaining bitter hops.
