Prices are somewhat better considering online shipping. Bought nearly all of my startup equipment here. Will never go back though after 2 bags of grain had live bugs in it, took them back and the guy denied it, then admitted that they had a 2-row infestation earlier. They were still selling it. They replace the grains after saying he didn't know how to refund my card, that most people just brew with the bugs, and then guess what, I got 2 more bug infested bags of barley and oats. Maybe I would have gone back if I had gotten even one "sorry about that" after I literally spent hundreds of dollars there.

The Brew Shop should be a stop on your visit to Oklahoma City. I walked in with questions since I'm aiming to start brewing my own beer, and I felt my searches online just didn't give me the answers I was looking for. The Brew Shop had the answers and the suggestions I was looking for and managed to point me in the right direction. I'm anxious to get back home and start my brewing.

While their shop is small, the environment and attitude make up for it. With brewing kits, equipment and books at the ready, if you're looking to brew your own, and looking for the word on beer or wine, you NEED to check this shop out. My parents love coming here, and I can tell I'll be coming back again.

Gail and Chuck are two of the nicest people on the planet. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.

The shop is on the small side which can mean their selection is limited sometimes. They have a solid selection of extract kits, grains, equipment etc. They only carry White Labs yeast, no smack packs.

Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable and helpful. On weekdays anyway they close at 5:30 so it can be a little stressful to rush over there after work to get my last minute item needed for that nights brew.

Great place for homebrewers of beer and wine. Good selection, recently got a facelift which improves the feel and shopability of the store, friendly staff The owner, Gail, is happy to help anyone with questions and is a great resource. She truly cares about her customers and wants to help them make great beer and wine. She'll order anything she can if it isn't in stock, but she does an excellent job of keeping the shelves full. I highly recommend The Brew Shop to anyone even considering taking up brewing!

This is a little shop in the part of Oklahoma city where you don't necessarily want to get out of your car. Plenty of pawn shops and liquor stores with bars on the windows.

The selection looks like it might have been ok, but when I went there (right before new years) he was out of oats, out of 2 kinds of hops I needed and didn't have the the right kind of malt I wanted either.

Chuck was friendly enough. He tried to offer alternatives but it was going pretty far from the recipe.

The hops were already in small sealed bags, and when he measured out the grains that he did have he dumped them all into an unlabeled zip-lock baggie and put that in a plastic Walmart-like bag. It all could have been a bit mroe professional.

Prices were just average too. I'll continue to get things from Austin homebrew's site.

Definitely the best place in OKC to go for your homebrew supply needs. They do have all the basic equipment that you will need, and everything is fairly reasonably priced. Chuck, the owner, is a good guy, I brewed his pumpkin ale recipe and its pretty good! The biggest gripe, and its rather small really, is that he uses plastic Wal-Mart type sacks to bag pounds of grain! He asks that you bring in your own bucket, which is reasonable, but im not always able to, and I have seen more than one accident with those darn sacks, I just wish he would "invest" in thicker brown paper sacks, like most everyone else uses. But aside from that, where else are you going to go? nowhere, unless you want to drive to moore and pay PREMIUM prices. You can find cheaper prices on most everything online however, but for a LHBS, this is the best place to go!

This store as a decent selection of equipment and ingredients for the homebrewer. Personally I would order from a more reputable company online before spending money here. In addition, the website is hard to navigate and lacks details and pictures of most items being sold.

Really only worth it if you don't want to order from another company online. Definitely the best store of it's kind around here though. A starting place for anyone in Oklahoma City with a desire to get into the homebrewing scene.

Very helpful staff who has been around the beer block. The owner knows his stuff and is in tune with the local brewing community. The Store is clean and organized and the smell is delightful. The location isn't the greatest, but still reasonable access to highways. Great selection of wine and accessories. There is a wide range of products in store, but there isn't a lot of depth in the product lines, particularly the malted varieties. The website is professional, but some of the higher end brew products are missing in both the store and the website.

The Brew Shop is owned and operated by local beer & wine lover Chuck Deveney. Chuck has been a long-time contibutor to the local beer scene and now lends his "off-time" expertise by serving as the Assistant Brewer for Belle Isle Restaurant & Brewing Company. He's also a big, Scottish beer fan and loves to don the kilt and play the 'pipes!

The Brew Shop is OKC's best choice for home brewing and wine making supplies. They have just about everything a person would need to get started in the hobby and they cater to all experience levels from the beginners to seasoned veterans. Stop by for a sample of Chuck's latest creation and talk shop!
