Deep orange/amber colour, ring of white head, specks of lace. Smell is strongly of cinnamon, bready malt, nutmeg, all spice....just spicy in general, clove, pumpkin and a little bit of alcohol. Taste is full of cinnamon, warm spices throughout, some graham cracker like malt, warm spices, nutmeg, clove, quite warming. Medium carbonation, full body good feel. Pretty good stuff here, I typically can not stand cinnamon (and this has tons!) but it works here and is quite enjoyable.

On cask at Volo's Cask Days 2011, listed at 19IBUs.

Poured a reddish orange with some offwhite bubbles, retains quite well. Nose of some beautiful pumpkin flesh, pumpkin pie, nutmeg. A light bready character is apparent but not dominant (unlike something like Pumking let's say...). Great spicing, quite bold. Taste has large malt qualities, lots of spicing (cinnamon and nutmeg), brown sugar. Pumpkin flesh is subdued compared to the nose. Alcohol is present but not hot. Smooth and spicy throughout, great feel. This is the second time I've been severely impressed by a cask pumpkin ale, it seems to be well suited to the serving vessel. I feel like I need to crack the regular Pumpkineater in my fridge now...
