From the 12 fl. oz. bottle that was bottled 11/21/16. Sampled (unfortunately) on May 7, 2017 so it is 6 months old.

The pour is a cloudy medium amber tone with a lot of off-white head that lingers for some time.

OK, at this stage, the hips are history and I get a boisterous caramel or toffee malt sweetness. Most past-date IPAs have a flat caramel malt character but this one had some sweetness.

Medium, kind f smooth body.

As o the taste - it is far sweeter now than it might have been 6 months ago. But it is not off-putting because the sweet malts are easy to take. Light dry finish. I know none of this was the intent back at Thanksgiving but I dd not get to try it until now.

Pours translucent golden yellow with decent head and abundant lacing. Smells of miles hops and bread and taste follows same. Feels thick and a bit sticky. Not bad but definitely not on par with what I expect for Founders.

L- Deep red/clear/copper amber. Very small head.
S- Grassy and piney hops. Sweet syrupy booziness as well.
T- Bitter grassy hops. Slightly sweet/malty, slightly boozy.
F- Watery, thin and crisp.
O- Decent IPA. Nothing special. Nothing bad though. Pleasant with a bit of a kick.

The closest to fruit juice an IPA can be without losing that complex, deep, hop-forward character inherent to the breed. A splash of citrus smashes against the tongue, to be soothed with a rich undertone of grapefruit, peach, orange, lemon, and something else - perhaps those Azacca hops. A slight caramel undertone due to the ethanol content.

All in all, among the best IPA's I've had, if not quite in the highest echelon. It's one of the few I've purchased twice.

In a 10 for $11.00 deal at Woodman's. Four months old.

Pours slightly hazy golden orange with 1/2" white head into pint glass. Wonderful piney and hoppy smell. Tastes somewhat creamy with a good hop bite and lingering hop bitterness. Light to medium feel. Leaves nice layered lacing down the glass. A good solid IPA from Founders.

Handsome, lengthy cream head leaves thick, sticky lace. Nose is malty with a late bit of pine to counter the caramel.

Good balance in the taste, with a thick, smooth texture. The hops are complementary and not overpowering. Citrus and floral hops follow caramel and biscuit malt. This was pretty drinkable. Yes, please.
