Style: American Double / Imperial Stout

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 10.50%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
This one is near and dear to our hearts. Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki wanted to make the birthday of his little sister, Liz, a special one. So he did what he does best and brewed a stout using a few of her favorite ingredients: fresh Michigan blueberries, rich chocolate and vanilla aged in bourbon barrels to round out those beautiful flavors. Liz was floored and we think you will be too.

Really interesting beer with a lot of flavors. Very sweet, with a nice aftertaste. Awesome story behind the beer and it’s name.

Great for a small pour after dinner drink. Sweet. Pungent. Too sweet to drink in large quantities.

Its flavor is awesome and so is the aftertaste, but I think this is enjoyable if you only drink about 6 oz at a time. It is very sweet and tastes as they describe. This is another one-time-buy for me.

Tried on tap.
The look was deep black color with a thick dark khaki but caramel head that rides flat across the surface with a creamy and frothy texture.
Aroma with predominant notes of dark cherry chocolate, lots of vanilla pudding and blueberries. Also a light woody bourbon aroma with, again, that chocolate scent really stood out. After a few more sips, another intense fruity flavor with lots of blueberries, bourbon, cocoa, dark fruits, vanilla beans, licorice, roasted nuts, coke and grapefruit citrusy. Dry aftertaste with almost zero bitterness and a lingering fruity note.
Flavor was… huge chocolate liquer flavor and a blueberry jam tart. After the beer warms up a tad bit there was a big vanilla flavor that made it through in the aftertaste. Full body and sticky feeling with alcohol in the end. It became a nice thick, a bit syrupy with a smooth texture with perfect carbonation.
Overall it was a tasty, flavored stout. Would love to try with a friend with a sweet tooth .

On tap at Underdog, Dublin.
Jet with leggy tan trailers that ring. 4.25
Sick truffle chocolate cake nose. 4.5
Big chocolate-berry liqueur, cola, Bordeaux, and raspberry. 4
Not quite full, round, lively. 3.75

Booming chocolate with a ton of berry. But thin + fizzy for 12%. And no roasty cut, so finishes sweet. Skews too candy to be the grown up sipper it should be. 3.75
