A light, golden ale brewed using high end, lightly roasted, fruit forward coffees that don’t get too bitter or astringent. Brewed with a naturally processed, sun dried coffee from the Sidamo region of Ethiopia, roasted at Ferris Coffee, right here in town.

Bottled 8/10/16; drank 9/16/16 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice eggshell head; almost no lace.
Light roast coffee bean & mild vanilla notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Cream soda & light roast coffee bean flavors; mild carbonation bite on the finish.
Cloying & just...off; this doesn't work for my palate at all.

Surprisingly tasty and not as light and airy as I expected. Tried this one on tap at Founders. Looks deceivingly simple - clear golden color with just a little head and very spotty lingering lacing. Smells of nice dark roast coffee. Tastes of that great dark coffee, grain, caramel, a little vanilla and dark chocolate and then a very nice malt backbone. I’ve never tasted coffee before in a beer that wasn’t a stout or porter - this was surprisingly well-balanced and didn’t overpower the light ale. Clean, smooth, mild mouthfeel and good mild carbonation. Very well done!

Poured from a 12oz bottle into glass. Bottle label is marked 'BOTTLED ON 08/18/16'.
Body color is dark amber, slightly hazy, with floating very small particulates. Head settles to thin ring. Minimal lacing.
Coffee predominates the aroma.
Taste is more fruity pale ale with coffee highlights.
Thin mouth feel.
Even at its advanced age, this beer still expresses the combined expression of fruit hops and richer coffee.
