Bottled October 5, 6, or 7 (Date smudged)

Served in a Bell's Tulip Glass.

A- Gold, Orange color and hazy. Beautiful looking beer. Can see the carbonation bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass. I didn't pour this aggressively so there is a small head. Sticks to the side of the glass.

S- I smell orange, grapefruit, citrus, and hops. It smells really great.

T- Floral and fruity, and citrusy. There is some hop bitterness.

M- Medium body, carbonation

O- This is an excellent beer. I wish I could have tried this a little fresher, but after about a month, it still tastes fresh. It's crisp and a great IPA. I would drink this year round if I had the opportunity.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a SA Perfect Pint glass. Appears a beautiful, crystal clear, golden-orange color, with about one finger of white head. The head leaves a bit of lacing, and has decent staying power.

The nose has lots of citrus, some pine, and smells heavenly. There's a touch of sweetness here, but the focus is definitely on the hops. The taste is very similar, with huge citrus flavor. Lots of grapefruit, and the pine also sneaks through here, but is not the focus. To me, the malt is barely detectable, and very neutral. In the first few sips, I thought I noticed some alcohol burn, but towards the end of the beer, I couldn't find it again.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, and slightly sticky on the back-end. Not quite as dry as I was hoping, but acceptable. Overall, this is a wonderful wet-hopped beer. I look forward to this sub-style each year, and this is one of the favorites.

Poured into tulip; golden, slightly off-clear, with a moderate white head that fades into a cap of foam after a bit, with lovely lacing.
Smell is juicy fresh dank hops, not very fruity or piney, just...hops. Almost more like a pale ale than an IPA.
Taste is crackery malt underneath hops; herbal bitterness preceded by some tame citrus flavors and subdued pine.
Mouthfeel is wet and thin.
Overall, I may have gotten a slightly old bottle, considering this was a wet hop IPA and it tastes like a pale ale. But it's still delicious and refreshing.

Pours a hazy light golden orange color with a finger length rocky head. Dissipates slowly into a thick, soapy lacing. Smells of grapefruit, lots of floral notes, pine, dank, sweet carmel undertones as well. Taste starts with the grapefruit, some pine, along with quite a bit of bitterness. Then in the middle, the malt mellows out the bitterness. Get a lightly toasted flavor as well as a good amount of carmel sweetness. Then on the back end that sweetness blends nicely with the fruit flavors that have lingered throughout. Get a bubblegum flavor, along with some grapefruit, floral, and pine, and dank. Bitterness lingers, but is mellow. Nice carbonation that makes the beer crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Well done wet hopped IPA.

This IPA/Harvest Ale poured a murky golden color with small beads of carbonation flowing throughout. The head was a thick foam that united into a single unit an had a bright white coloring.

The scent is absolutely alive with juicy citrus that made my mouth water. Huge notes of orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerines and pineapple meet a subtle earthy, marshy, floral hop character. Outside of Zombie Dust I don't think I've smelled better.

The flavors are nicely citrus with a more floral and piney hop blend. I catch the grapefruit, some lemon and even banana but a real earthy, leafy floral hop flavor take over. The malt is a little sweet and stubborn but never really takes over. It seems to sit quietly in the core happy to prop up the hop flavors.

The feel is a rather thin, and slick at times. There was some fizzy effervescence on the tongue but it seemed watery none the less.

Nice wet Hopped Ale, I'm a super big Founders fan, They could probably piss in a bottle and I would drink it. That said (coupled with fellow reviews) i was left with a little to be desired. However, I would still buy two more four packs next year. Wouldn't make an extra effort to seek it out as I would with others

EDIT: Ohio gets this late, so my review should reflect that this 'fresh hop' beer isnt so fresh~

Served in a Dogfish Head IPA glass. Pours a very pale orange with a relatively thin head that fades to a film within several minutes. Leaves some lace at the top, but not really on the way down. Still good looking after the pour, though.

Smell is glorious sticky hops. Citrus, oranges, slightly herbal, grassiness. Some notable caramel malts on the nose as well, somewhat surprisingly.

Taste starts out with some nice juicy orange flavor, then there's some grassiness, with some underlying earthiness. As foreshadowed by the nose, the malts are noticeable in the taste as well, and get more and more so as it warms. There's also some subtle underlying blue-cheesy dankness to it - mostly on the finish - that also gets more and more prevalent as it warms. It's a nice flavor, and well-incorporated. Overall, there's a relatively large shift from start to finish. At the beginning it's mostly citrusy and grassy, and then becomes caramelly and resiny by the end.

Overall, it's a really great wet-hopped ale. There are a lot of different hop flavors in there, and it's fun to compare each sip to the last and feel it changing. It's really great, but I think it would have been perfect with a little less alcohol, and maybe just a little "smaller."
