2014 vintage.
12 oz bottle poured into a pub-style pint glass.

Appearance
Golden-yellow with a 1/2 finger of white head. Excellent clarity with moderate carbonation.

Nose
Papaya, dank greens, grapefruit, pine sap, pineapple, and honey.

Taste
Dank greens, pine sap, and hints of pineapple. Grapefruit zest, orange zest, and onion. Light backbone of caramelized sugar and notes of honey.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, oily, and semi-dry with a moderate bitterness.

Overall
Dank and zesty. Juicy and bitter. Always one of the finer Wet Hop Ales.

---

Poured into a pint glass. 2012.

Appearance
Gold with a short head. Moderate carbonation and excellent clarity.

Nose
Pineapple, papaya, mango, candied orange, tangerine, lemon and caramel.

Taste
Pineapple, pine sap and pine needles. Tangerine, lemon juice, papaya, candy-coated navel orange and grapefruit pith. There's a light caramel maltiness in the background along with some candy sugar. Some bitter rinds and resinous florals on the finish.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, juicy and bitter.

Overall
Tasty tropical fruits and resinous pine. Lots of pine! A great Fresh Hop Ale all around.

Appearance - Pours 2 fingers of off-white eggshell foam, body is a lightly hazed bright golden yellow, keeping a solid eggshell cap and foam rings after each quaff.

Smell - Wonderful fresh hops, lightly candied citrus, tropical, papaya, pineapple and light pine - and nice floral aromas, smells fantastic. A great nose that will mesmerize, and grab you long before you lift the glass for a quaff...

Taste - This beer is very floral forward and very juicy, hops are mostly floral and beginning semi-sweet with a bitter and lightly dry aspirin like finish, also light citrus rinds with lots of pith, tropical flavors are light and slightly sweet in the back and then transform into dry fruitskins and peach pit bitterness and dryness. Finishes clean and dry with dried fruit pits, but leave bright bursts of tropical fruits in the mouth corners.

Mouthfeel - This is about a medium mouthfeel, mostly from the boldness of flavors vs. a weighted feel, carb is medium and smooth at first but still provides some palate scrub and some really nice bright sharp edges along the sides of the tongue. Just begs the next sip.

Overall - This beer is all about complexity and balance. There's really alot going on here, and it's all very very good - hops are mostly floral, with plenty of citrus and tropical without being overly sweet. The flavors are so bold and organic, it's hard not to want to gulp this beer, as it's just so deliciously juicy and yet dry mid-palate... find and drink this fresh, a must try.

Pours a golden color with a small amount of white head that laces the glass. The smell is pine and citrus, maybe grapefruit. It has a medium mouth feel with a light carbonation. The hops are what hit you first with a sweet bitterness followed by a solid malt before it finishes with citrus. An amazing beer I wait for every year!

Picked up a four-pack at TW in early November for $11.99. Bottled on 9/30/14.

Beer poured a light gold with a near perfect white head that is still lingering.

Nose is catty city, fresh hops are very prevalent.

Taste is fresh grapefruit rind with some floral hops laid over a nice light toast malt backbone.

Feel is light and prickly, surprisingly refreshing for a bigger beer.

Overall this is a well put together fresh hop ale that I was surprised to find on the shelf. Glad I had the opportunity to try. Jump on this if you like IPA's.
