Beautiful golden yellow colour. Fine lacing and head in a snifter from draft at Al's of Hampden. Weird medicinal taste mid palate. Aroma light and floral. Body very light. At 7.6% this beer lacks a malty backbone and takes the concepts of hop forward to a place I do not like, sorry. I did not even finish the glass.

Prefaced with this, I’ve had this before and really enjoyed it, but this years was off.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a HF wine glass. Copper and orange in color with a thin off white head.

Smells of…onion? Or garlic? Very pungent and slightly vegal, but seriously, there is a garlic and onion smell to this.

Taste is a fresh hop bitterness, followed by the sweetness of the malts, but then this pungent onion/garlic flavor just sits down in your palate and doesn’t want to leave. Not digging this flavor at all. Not much of a change as it warms.

Mouthfeel is nice, slightly thick and a tick oily.

Overall, a believe my good friend summed this beer up best. I don’t want to be drinking the burps from a hearty Italian hoagie.

A new offering from Founders, and I must say it’s very disappointing. Not one of their better efforts.

Poured great – Semi-hazy orangy yellow with this massive ivory head, plenty of lace sticking to the glass sides.

Aroma was first off-note; a perfumy citrus wafted upwards, which progressed into the quaff, along with some grass and soapy notes.

Medium bodied and a bit of a slick finish. 7% alcohol per the nice looking label.

Doesn’t hold a candle next to a Sierra Nevada Harvest ale.

Bottled on 09.19.17 Purchased warm b/c there were no refridgerated 4-packs in the only store I could find it in. Not a juicy hop bomb like I thought it would be, still a decent brew though.

A: Pours a perfectly clear golden/yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention. Lots of spiderweb looking lace is left behind.
S: Fresh cut grass, big grapefruit aromas, some citrus, and a strong bitterness. Not much sweetness for balance in the nose.
T: Big grapefruit and citrus flavors. A large lingering bitterness, and nothing in the form of sweetness or anything else for balance.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. A bit on the thin side, and not as dry as I was expecting. A small amount of heat from the alcohol. Mostly the strong bitterness makes this harder than I would like to drink.

Not a bad beer by any means. Hop heads will really love this. Not for me though. Just to much bitterness and nothing else for balance. There are plenty other great Founders products that I will return to before this.

Clear gold-copper with a large frothy head dying to a thin blanket leaving a lot of lace.

Smell is really toasty cracker, popcorn and lime with a lightly astringent afterscent.

Taste is orange, lime, Smarties, cracker, and biscuit. Tangy but bitter.

Frothy and medium soft at first, finishing very dry and chewy.
